3 out of 365. That's how many days it took for you to fall for him.
362. The number of days until you'd ever see him again. Also the number of days you spent not being able to get him out of your head.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
(Look at this precious bean. ⬆️) The first thing I noticed as I walked in the door was the giant fake, but real looking, tree. It had countless notches and limbs that made it look like a smaller Tree of Life from Animal Kingdom. But as I glanced down and saw the lobby that looked like a small mall w/ gift shops and places to get food. The place wasn't to crowded, but enough so that it was comfortable.
I had always this weird fear of being completely alone in a large open space, like this lobby, my mom always told me it was because of all the Horror movies I watched growing up. Like, this sounds bad, but it's almost the feeling of; "if a someone went on a killing spree, I probably wouldn't get killed first and I could run". Anyway, I'm getting off topic.
I scanned the lobby until I saw a girl roughly two-three years older than me wearing a purple shirt that had the symbol of the convention, sitting at a folding table that was handing out badges.

I nudged Sarah and nodded towards the booth.
"Hey, is this is where we sign in for the convention?" Sarah asked, pulling her curly hair out of her face, clearly still very tired.
"Yes, just give me your names and you'll receive your badges and shirts." She said in a voice that was just too peppy for my liking.
"Well I'm Sarah Hoffman. And this is (Y/N)." She said pointing to me.
"Alright," she said drawing out the word as she looks through her list. "Ah, here you guys are! Well your groups rooms are down the hall to the left. And remember, we have a local band that is doing a small concert in one of our conference rooms, your welcome to go! It starts at 9." She said.
"Awesome! Thanks." I said since Sarah was looking at her phone.
"Cody said he'll be here around 8:30 so he'll be here for the concert." She said as we laid our things on our hotel room beds.
"Whipped" I said under my breath.
"I heard that!" She said.
"You were meant to!!"

"Alright, so the concert starts in like half an hour, wanna go explore?" Sarah suggested.
"Sure"After we checked with our chaperone, we headed off.
After wandering for about 10 minutes, we wandered into the gift shop and Sarah told me that Cody had pulled up and she was gonna go greet him.
"My earlier comment stands!" I yelled after her.
"Oh shut up." I could practically hear her blushing.
As I skimmed through the sweatshirts, because it was always cold in Ohio, I found one I really liked that looked like an All Time Low heart logo, except it had the resort's name on it.
I held it out to examine it and that's when I heard it.
"Nice choice."
I turned around and was met with the biggest brown eyes I had ever seen, hidden slightly under a mop of hair going in every direction that had found its way out from under a beanie.

"Thank you, I love this band, there music and how unafraid to speak on messages and how much they...." I said noticing that I was rambling on. "Sorry, I totally geeked out there for a second." I said tucking my stubborn (h/c) hair behind my ear.
"Oh no, please, if anyone knows about geeking out, it's me." He said tucking his hands in his pockets.
"Good to know," I said laughing.
"I'm Josh." He said holding out his hand.
"(y/n)." I said shaking his hand
"Cool name." He gushed
"Thanks my parents gave it to me for my birthday" I said.
"Sick" he replied. We both laughed for a bit. Just then his phone rang. "Hey Tyler the what's up?" He asked to "Tyler" apparently. "Uh huh?" He put his hand over the mic. "I'll be right back, ok?"
I nodded and he headed out of the shop.
"(y/n)! There you are!" Sarah says running towards me with Cody close behind her.
"Wait hold on I was–"
"Come on, we've got to head back to the room before the concert to drop off Cody's stuff in his room." She said pulling my arm.
"Alright..." I looked around but I didn't see Josh. Dang it, he was kinda cute. Just my luck I guess.
