I gazed out the window of the salon as the lady cut my hair. I wanted a pixie cut since I didn't like my hair long. What did I have left to lose?
My fiancee had cheated on me with another man (although I'm glad that I could help him figure out his confusion). My dad passed away. My mom is nowhere to be found. I'm 19 years old without an apartment or house. I lost my job and my van.
So I'm spending my last few bucks to get a goddamn haircut.
And some ice cream.
I sighed and looked over at my purse, getting out my wallet as she finished up and guide me to the cash register.
She told me my amount which wasn't that much. I handed her the money and left.
People may think I'm crazy or stupid. How about find another fucking job?
Well guess what fuckface, it isn't easy when you have no car and no home and no food.
God my dad used to make the best homemade pizza. Fresh tomatoes from the planter in the window.
I neared the ice cream truck as kids came piling up on a line. I looked at the line and sighed.
I should go get the special 5 dollar family meal from MickyD's then.
I brushed off the idea of ice cream and clutched onto my purse.
No time for cravings.
I walked to the nearest McDonalds and ordered my oh so amazing food. It may be not the healthiest but it's all I got.
Taking my food, I walk all the way across town to go to my dad's house. I have to sell his stuff along with the house due to my current situation. I walked up to the white paint peeling house. Yeah it looked a bit rough but the stuff he has looks like he spent more on them than the money to get the house.
I unlocked the door and into the packed up living room. I had started on it earlier starting with the living room and dining room. After I eat, I plan on looking what else he has in his attic.
I mean, who knows what's in there? More armor shit?
I would sell the armor but I decided to give it to my step brother. I mean, that's valuable shit and all but Justin loved the armor more than I did.
Justin is a video game geek and one of his favorite games was Skyrim because of the "cool" looking stuff. I never got into it but I never hurt his feelings over it.
Although the tragic back story of my mom, pops had told me that my mom had to leave me with him because she couldn't take care of me. She wasn't ready to be a mother but she wished me well. When I tell people about my mom, they're like Do you miss her?
Question; how the hell can you miss someone if you never met the person. Le gasp.
Soon, my dad found someone with a son, Justin, and my stepmother's name is Justice.
Just in, the just family.
I didn't care the the stepmother. Justin was cool growing up with, if you don't count the pothead thing.
Dad never knew about Justin's hobbies and his mom didn't care. I thought nothing of it until one of Justin pothead friends got busted. In the end, never do drugs kids.
Giving the golden armor to him seems like a plan to me. I mean, it isn't like he was going to sell it himself because come on, Justin is a total nerd for that kind of stuff.
I was going to sell the decorative plates that Justice had put up in the shelves before running away with a new man
Like literally, she ran away and never came back. Technically dad and Justice are still married so.
Dad never had the heart to throw out Justice's stuff. I have no care in selling it. Didn't care for the lady, not gonna, not ever.
I finished two of four small fries that was in the box and saved the leftovers for later.
Going down the hallway, I climbed the stairs. Quite literally. I could never stand straight up climbing the steep ass stairs. When I reached the top, I was met with another hallway the led into three different rooms. My old one, dad's historic study, and Justin's old bedroom. When I looked up as I was in the center of the hallway, the attic door loomed above.
I reach up and grip onto the string. Suddenly, worse case scenarios flashes before my eyes.
Bats, rats, and all. I shuddered.
"Maybe another time."
As I turn, my stomach churn in curiosity. I huffed and going with my instincts.
Curiosity killed the cat.
Let's hope satisfaction will bring it back.
"Fuck it." I muttered before grabbing the string and pulled it slowly. As if this were to be a movie, dust particles and the air around was lightly dusted in brown smoke from the lack of people going into the attic.
The ladder sat down on the hardwood floor gently with a light thud. I exhaled a breath that I didn't know I was holding.
I licked my lips and gripped on the sides of the ladder. I began my climb into the dark corners my nightmares. I mean, climbing into foreign attic, heh.

Fact of the day: toothpaste has expiration date.
Has anyone ever had expired toothpaste?
Not meh.

Fiksi PenggemarA lot of people recount their mistakes they make leading up to the biggest mistake so here are mine. Mistake one, making a wish in the same room as a doll that supposedly held some kind of genie curse thingy. Mistake two, cutting my hair this short...
