Luke's POV

It was 3 in the morning. My eyes were red from crying and my pillow was soaking from tears. I didn't think I would react like this but I just loved Emma so much. I don't think I could be just her friend because she meant so much more to me. I hadn't experienced anything like this before.

I backed up all of our photos and re-watched every collaboration we made and put them into a private playlist. I know this is the worst solution for a heart break, but I couldn't help myself. I just wanted to hug her again and know she was mine...but she wasn't anymore.

Emma had always been an independent woman. She liked to do things for herself - she always wanted to be the bigger person. Maybe I had been holding her back? Just another weight on her shoulder, constantly weighing her down.

Tears streamed down my face thinking about it. Teenage Luke couldn't cope with this. He'd have got a blade and cut away his feelings. But I wasn't a teenager anymore. I was a man...at least I liked to think I was. I had to get over her.
