Barry took a deep breath before going on, "All right, what if, that day, Cisco found out that Wells is the Reverse Flash, and then Wells killed him? But when I ran back a day, I changed the timeline so that event never happened."
Spencer scrunched her face in confusion, "If it never happened, how can Cisco remember it?"
Cisco nodded, sticking his index finger at her as she made a good point.
"I don't know," Barry breathed out, "I don't know. I think the important thing is, he does." Barry paused before looking between his friends. "Guys, I think I've got a really bad idea."

Barry's plan was to get Wells to confess to killing his mom. How they were supposed to do that- he didn't know. But somehow, they had to access Cisco's dream or memories or whatever and use that to help them. After listening to Cisco, Caitlin and Barry go back and forth about ideas for a few more minutes, Spencer's brain began to hurt. With all this new proof against Dr. Wells along with their future realization that Barry was eventually going to end up with Iris, Spencer needed sometime to herself.
In the middle of a discussion between her friends, she stood up hastily and told them she had to call it for the night- that she was just exhausted. Eddie and Joe understood, but the others knew there was more to it than that. And the look she shared with Barry briefly as she passed him let her know he figured out exactly why she had to get out of there.
She got home in record time, slumping against her apartment door when she closed it. She slid all the way down to the floor and lied her head in her hands. She didn't cry. But she kind of wanted to. Just when things seemed to be falling into place- in her love life, that was, which was a pleasant change- the pieces were scattered across the room. The universe couldn't let her have one good thing in the form of Barry Allen, could it?
Spencer let out a frustrated groan as she got to her feet. She jogged to her room where she changed into comfortable clothing before reemerging into her living room. Deciding to take her mind off of things, she plopped down on the couch to watch some mindless TV until she managed to fall asleep. She was flipping through channels when a news report caught her eye.
Her eyes flitted across the headline that scrolled across the screen. Starling City's Vigilante the Arrow Killed in Prison. Spencer immediately sat up straight and turned the volume up so she could hear the reporter more clearly. Oliver couldn't be dead, could he? She listened intently as the reporter recapped the last twenty four hours of happenings in Starling. Apparently, Oliver was originally suspected of being the Arrow and was in the process of being transported to jail when the "real" Arrow stopped the van and revealed himself to be Roy Harper. And not even a full day after being incarcerated, he was stabbed to death. Roy Harper was dead.
At first, Spencer was numb to the news, staring blankly at the TV as the news report moved on to another subject like it was a new fad in pop culture. Like Roy wasn't a hero, like he wasn't a friend to so many people, like he wasn't someone Spencer loved.
The realization began to set in and she tried shaking her head to rattle the thought away but couldn't stop thinking about it. Roy was gone. And right after they had found one another again. They've only spoken a few times since then and just over text. Now she never had the chance to get to know him again and form a closer friendship. She would never see him again.
As all of the things she wouldn't be able to do began streaming through her mind, tears began freefalling, more and more until she was full on sobbing. She was sure if her neighbors were awake at this point in the night, they'd come banging on her door to either check on her or tell her to shut up, she was crying so hysterically. She was flashing back to night of the accelerator explosion, when she finally made it back home to her apartment. She broke down on the floor as soon as she made it in, mourning the loss of her best friend. Losing Roy, in a way, felt like losing Ronnie all over again. Why do things like this keep happening?
