"It's been a few days, man," RJ sat on Marcus' couch. "And she's still stuck in my head."

Marcus paused his 2K before putting down controller down.

"You don't have her number?"

"I don't think so," RJ checked his pants, that he happened to wear on the date a week ago, before finding a tiny piece a paper with numbers.

"I guess I do." He raised the ticket before heading outside.

"I told you."

RJ held his phone debating whether or not to call Janessa.

He decided against and messaged her.

'Hey, its RJ' 3:12 pm

He sighed before waking back into the house.

"So..." Marcus urged RJ to talk.

"Texted her," his phone beeped in his pocket. "That's her."

'You mean Ronnie?' 3:15 pm

Her jokingly manner made him smile.

He waited a moment before deciding what to type.

'What are you doing this weekend' 3:18 pm

"What you asking her?" Marcus spoke not moving his attention from the game.

His voice altered RJ anxiety from her response.

"Um, I'm asking her out," His phone buzzed in his hand.

RJ sighed before putting his phone in his pocket.

"She said no." He settled on the couch, his feet rested on the arm rest.

"Really?"

"Yeah," RJ shuffled to show the man his text messages.

"Ask what she's doing right now." Marcus was unfazed at his 'attempt' to ask the girl. He was always too shy.

'Wanna grab a bite to eat tonite' 3:22 pm

RJ waited a moment before his beeped again

B Goods was RJ favorite burger place in Boston. Specifically, because they use real ingredients.

"You're really easy to talk too," Janessa smiled.

"It's comforting."

"Yeah," RJ dipped his fry in ketchup. "I'm more of a quiet person."

Janessa smiled at him.

"Didn't seem like that at the arcade." RJ saw her arch her perfectly shaped eyebrow. The sound of amusement in her voice.

"Well, you just have this vibe that makes me confident."

Color went to her cheeks.

The date was going well for the both of them, surprising the two.

"You're a very interesting person, RJ."

"So, are you."
