Ch. 1-It's all just Insanity

My name is Ava Willows and I am seventeen, its been a about week since the apocalypse has happened and well I'm on my own.

My family had been missing when this all started and I haven't been able to find them since. And I will continue my search for them no mater what stands in my way.

Being on your own is hard and lonely, but some how I find a way. But being lonely is not the most difficult thing that I have come across. It has been mostly the fighting the zombies kind of thing, and being the only one doesn't help.

I thought life was tough before this and well I was wrong. My adventures so far have been trying to find people, food, weapons, and other valuables.

As I head off to one of the local store that are in my area a hear a blood curtailing scream coming from about a block away. Being the curious person that I am I head towards the screaming because you never know.

On my way I spot a vehicle well no just a normal car or what not but my fathers car. For sure I know he has to have a tool or something in there right?

Looking in the trunk first I spotted a....uh a crowbar? Well better than nothing I think to my self, as I hear once again the scream.

I'm getting closer, I tell myself. "Maybe I should just head back, maybe find some food or just forget about the screams" I say out loud.

"Well there's no turning back now" I say to myself heading to a house, and again the the screams.
"This must be it" I mumble as I step up on the porch of an old looking house. I decided to head in only to be greeted by a "zombie" or what ever you want to call them.

I think for a moment not sure of what to do, then remembered the crowbar. I closed my eyes and swung which was soon followed by a crash. I did it but still one last scream, not as loud but still it was unsettling.

I located the screams from a closet with claw marks all over the door. I knocked and I was soon greeted with slight "hello?"
