I sighed and looked at the screen. "Caroline, please answer."
I ignore it again and we pull up to his house. When he showed me the room I'd be sleeping in I noticed he was a little uncomfortable. I already have a feeling this week is going to suck. "Ed, I can get a hotel if you're not comfortable with this." I say honestly and he shakes his head. "No, no. You're fine. I just haven't had a girl around in a while. Feels kinda weird." he says rubbing the back of his orange hair. I wasn't used to nervous or awkward guys. Harry is always so blunt. I didn't know this side of Ed cause Harry's always been with us.
"You sure?" I ask and he nods. "Yeah. Make yourself at home. We have rehearsal tomorrow morning, so you better get some rest." he half smiles and leaves the doorway. His house was about the size of Harry's just less rooms, so everything seemed huge and opened. It was very pretty.
My phone starts to ring and I groan when I see it was Harry. I answer it when I really wanted to ignore it. "Hi Harry." quietly and start organizing my bag. Depending if this phone call gets ugly or not, I might take a shower tonight.
"Why didn't you answer me?" he barks and I lay down on the bed, annoyed. "Cause I literally just got to Ed's. I haven't even got my things unpacked. Chill. For someone who doesn't want commitment, you sure are protective as hell." I bark back and he went quiet for a minute.
"I'm sorry, I just don't know what to think about you being by yourself." he says a little more calmly and I relax a little more. "I'm fine, you know Ed wouldn't let anything happen to me." I say and he half chuckles. "I don't like you being with another guy." he says and I roll my eyes. "You're the one who talked me into doing this. " I remind him and he sighs. "I was joking, Caroline." he says and I start to feel a little guilty.
"Sorry." I say. "It's boring here. And your fucking dog won't stop whining at the door." he says and I roll on my side on the bed. "I think we could both use a little space, Harry. This will be a good thing." I say and he sighs. "I don't like space." he says bluntly. "Obviously."
"You're still mad about the marriage thing?" he asks and I shrug even though he couldn't see. "A little." I admit and he groans. "Caroline, everytime you leave and you're upset with me, bad things happen." he says almost like a little kid. "Harry, don't say that." I tell him and hear him chuckle. I had to try to close out every feeling I had right now. "I miss you." he says in a smooth voice and I sigh. "Harry." I try to encourage him to stop but he groans. "I love it when you say my name." he says and I bite my lip. This is really not about to happen. Why does he choose to be hot now?
"You can wait, I have to shower and get up early tomorrow morning." I say and he huffs. "Fine. Will you text me when you're out of the shower?" he asks and I crack a small laugh. "Yes, I will." he says and I hear him giggle. "Promise?" he asks and I sit up, grabbing my clothes and heading into the bathroom. "I promise." I say and set my clothes down. "I love you." he says and I smile. "Love you too, Harry." I tell him and we hang up. I took a quick 10 minute shower and combed out my hair before calling Harry back like I said.

I was kinda nervous going into the studio with Ed. He had leaned down to me when he saw me rubbing my elbow. "I don't dance, so don't judge me." he chuckles and I shrug. "I've never danced professionally either." I admit to him and he just looks at me. "Harry said you could dance pretty well." he says and I shrug. "Not anyone else's choreography." I tell him and he rubs his forehead. "Don't say that around my manager." he laughs and a young man and woman walk out from a back room and greet us. She was very thin and tall and the man was lean but athletic looking. The man was very quiet but the woman had an Russian accent. "I'm Diana, and we will be your instructors. You dance?" she asks and I swallow. No. "Sort of." I say shyly and the corner of her lip turns up. There was something challenging behind her eyes. Like she was daring me. I didn't like that.
"Just don't get hurt like the last one and you will be fine. I will continue working with Ed in the other room and Phillip here will begin working with you. We are in a time crunch." she says and I look at the taller guy, who looked back down at me.
I nod and her and Ed walk through a door. I look at Phillip and he looks down at my feet. "You've never danced professionally, have you?" he asks without any trace of emotion on his face and I try to figure out what he was looking at. "I'm a quick learner." I say back, trying to figure this guy out. "Good. Take your shoes off." he instructs and I do.
He was much taller than Ed was and I didn't want to look him in his brown eyes. He actually was very gentle and spoke quietly, but being a strange guy, I was nervous around him. I would be more comfortable learning with Ed because we are both awkward and would end up laughing.
Phillip worked very slowly with me through the first few minutes, it was a little more of an evasive dance than I would like it to be, but when he went to spin me, I slipped and landed with a thud but ended up laughing at myself, despite the situation. Phillip half chuckled and helped me up. "You're doing very well. This is your first choreographed routine?" he asks and I nod. He had a faint accent, unlike Diane who was very clear. This guy was just a big mystery.
"Yes." I answer and he runs a hand through his short black hair. "I'm impressed." he says simply and takes my hand again. The beginning I got easily because it didn't require a lot of movement but once we got into some of the lifts, I tensed only because I am NOT used to being thrown around this way. He was very strong and didn't seem to have a problem but I was still worried I would mess up and he would drop me. Would Ed drop me? Oh man... At least they're paying me good. Well, no. That's not how I should be thinking, I am helping a friend.... by doing a very evasive dance that I know Harry wouldn't be happy to see.
I watched Ed and Diane during a break he gave me and he had a lot of the routine down. Diane was a lot lighter than me though. Ed is a little thicker built than Harry and Harry doesn't mind carrying me but he's not tossing me around.
We practiced all morning and after lunch they had put me and Ed together and I was more nervous than working with Phillip. They started the music and we approached each other and started. My eye contact was inconsistent and that was one of the things Phillip had talked to me about during our rehearsal. Diane didn't look pleased but she spoke to Phillip a lot. I only had a short portion of the song memorized and I stopped when I didn't know anymore. There was only one lift that he had did and I obviously didn't fall.
"Not bad." Ed chuckles and I wipe the sweat off my forehead. "You're lucky I like you, Ed." I frown and he laughs as he grabs his water bottle. "You want a few pointers?" Diane offers and I nod. She snatches the bottle from Ed and sets it down, leaving a frowning Ed as she pushes him back to the middle of the floor with me. She places my hands back onto one of the counts during the routine and she does the same with Phillip. Next to us. "When you hit the fourth count, this is you're time to show you know what you're doing. Snap the hips. You're feet are quick enough, you need to match with you're hips." she says and Ed just looks away awkwardly to stop himself from laughing.
She counts for herself while moving through a set and I study her. I should've had some time with her before I was put with Phillip but Phillip got most of the concepts through the best a guy could do. She turns to us and counts us off and I do what I was told.
It was around 2 when we were able to leave. Ed is definitely more patient than Harry. Cause Harry would've snapped or made some crude remark by now. Ed just laughed when either of us messed up and moved on. Phillip stopped me before I walked out the door. "Wait a minute, Caroline." he says quietly and I see Diana behind him. "Would you like a career in professional dancing?" he asks and I glance back and forth between them. "I don't know. I was just doing this for Ed." I admit honestly.
"How long are you here?" Diana asks. "Until the video is over." I say and they exchange looks. "Would you like some lessons in the evenings this week and we can talk more if you want to further yourself?" Phillip asks and I look at them. "Am I that bad?" I ask and Phillip comes out in a bit of laughter. His smile was actually really pretty. "No, you are very talented. We would love to work with you more." he says and I start to get a little excited. Maybe this week won't be so bad?
"Well, sure." I say and Diana smiles. "So 6?" she asks and I nod. "I'll be here. Thank you." I smile and they shake my hand before meeting Ed out in the car.
"Well?" he asks and I shrug. "That was different." I admit and he laughs.
