The first character we are "introduced to" other than Yang (who is around their age) in RWBY is Weiss. A snobby, rich girl, Weiss comes off as rude and obnoxious when she and Ruby first meet,  yelling at Ruby for knocking over dust and causing a small explosion. Oops...

However, as the seasons progress, Ruby and Weiss become a powerful team, and forge a love hate relationship rivaled only by Yang and Neptune.

Everybody (especially WATTPADDERS) enjoy a good "polar opposites attract" book, and honestly, White Rose is the epitome of opposites attract, making this ship a favourite.
