Crosshares is the ship names for Coco and Velvet, both from team CFVY, and they are enrolled in Beacon.
Since the beginning of RWBY, Velvet has been involved as a small side character. She was constantly picked on for her long bunny ears, representing Jaune's issue at the time.
In Season Two we meet the team CFVY, and Velvet is part of it. We also meet Coco, the calm and composed leader. The chemistry between these two is subtle, but once you catch it- adorable!!! This ship conflicts with Velvet and Yatsuhashi's ship - Cinnabun.
I started shipping Crosshares when I realised that Coco looked out for Velvet, and she was very protective of her. It might just be maternal instinct or some thing like that, but it's still ship-worthy. 😌
