You didn't know exactly why you had taken an interest in him, but somehow you did.
You were the loner at your school and you honestly didn't mind at all.
So why you had decided to spend your time wondering about said boy was far beyond you.
You had been taking your normal route down the usually empty hallway to the library to read when you had saw him be slammed against the wall by the school bully and debated whether or not you should just walk away. He wasn't your problem and he certainly wasn't someone you would get involved with just like the rest of the annoying students, was one of the thoughts going through your head as you slowed your pace down the hallway, unbeknownst to you.
Then you saw it.
His dark doe-like eyes, filling with a silent frustration as he did his best not to let the growing tears in his eyes fall.
Before you knew it, you had rushed forward, pushing the bully away and stood protectively in front of the boy, sending the coldest glare you could muster. The bully, having been beaten up by you before when he had tried to bully you years ago, sent a glare the boy's way and walked off.
"Th-thank you," you hear the small voice of the now standing boy and turn around. His eyes were casted downward and his hands were curled into fists. He must hate being helped out, you had thought then.
You didn't know why you had did it but you had slowly reached out and unfurled his hands, gave him a small smile and nodded, making your way back down the hallway to the library after helping him pick up his stuff.
Later on about a week later you had saw him again, this time at the library. He had come to you.
You were surprised to say the least, but didn't mind the company, you supposed. He had tried to start conversations, which had failed for the first week, all he could get from you was non verbal gestures, but then a week turned into two weeks and two weeks turned into three.
On the fourth week, you had finally decided to speak. Jungkook–as you had found out his name was week one–had been telling you about his day and his random but "alright" hyungs. This time it was about how greasy his hyung Jimin could be at times. He was telling the story when suddenly you had giggled.
Jungkook had stopped talking completely and turned to you, his mouth agape. You were now shaking with laughter, trying to keep the noise down, a big smile on your face. He stared at you in awe.
"Y-your hyungs are so weird, Kookie," still laughing, you manage the words to come out.
Your voice was beautiful, Jungkook had thought. But wait.. Kookie?
"Kookie..?" he voiced out his thoughts. He smiled at the nickname, joy swelling up within him.
Now it was your turn to be stunned. He had the most beautiful bunny-like smile, his eyes turning into crescents that made you want to cuddle and squish his face as much as you liked.
"Yup, Kookie," the smile was still on your face. "And that's official, got it?" you teased.
"I like it," his eyes were connected with yours, dark and wonderful. "I like it a lot, no complaints from me."
Two months later, you and Jungkook were the bestest of friends, practically glued to the hip.
Three months later, Jungkook had asked you out, cheeks red as the sweater you were wearing that day. You had accepted, a small tint of red on your cheeks as well.
The first month of you two dating had consisted of shy kisses on the cheeks, hand holding, cuddling, and Jungkook whining about you not wanting to call him oppa, as you were only about 2 months younger than him. He had eventually won, dying in a puddle of giggles and awws when you had finally called him Oppa.
It was now a year later, late at night. Jungkook had his arms wrapped around your waist and was sleeping while your thoughts had kept you awake. You smiled thinking about how you and Kookie had grown to come together.
You were very glad to have helped out Jungkook that day, and to had wondered about him just like he had wondered about you.
