We walked into the big building that seemed to be situated in the middle of nowhere. Nothing but concrete ground went on and on for miles in all directions from the building. The place was huge, to me it was bigger than anything I had ever seen, than anything any of us have ever seen.

Ms. Berns took us through many endless halls, I tried to memorise each turn we took, left then a right then another right and a left. But by the time we took our sixth left I forgot everything, we finally came to a staircase and up we went. After a few more turns we finally came to a big room, like a gym but three times the size. Along the room were a bunch of doors, there must have been at least 50. The doors must lead to our test rooms I thought. Lea didnt really talk to me on the way, no one talked, I guess they were all as shocked as I was.

In the middle of the room there were a bunch of benches, at the end of each bench were signs with the names of the district, we were the second district to arrive. There were other girls there staring at us but I didnt really care, I had never seen them before but this was nothing new I knew this was how it was going to work, I was more interested in the rooms.

Finally all the districts arrive and a woman I was unfamiliar with walks up to the front. Everyone is slient and staring at her yet she still says "may I have your attention please." The woman introduces herself as the head of the female districts and that her name was Sally Rouge.

Mrs. Rouge explains how the tests work: we are to go to the room we are assigned to, 50 girls at a time, once we et into the room there will be a chair in which we must sit calmly. There will be a few blood tests and health things first and then we will be put through a simulator to determine which job we get. Someone will be behind the room watching through a window, they can see us but we cant look through it to see them. It is important that we remain seated the whole time and that we stay calm. Next we will be sent back to sit and wait for everyone's test to be finished. After everything is over we will be brought to another room where we will be told our occupation. Once that if finished we get 15 minutes exact to say goodbye to all the friends we will be leaving(the scariest part in my opinion) and then we'll be sent off into training.

It didnt seem too hard. I basically just have to wait for my name to be called, go to a room, have needles poked into me, go through a simulator and then wait for the most life changing news I will ever receive next to who my pair is.

Finally when Mrs. Rouge is done taling the names begin to be called. I am one of the few last names to be called, Lea goes at the same time as me, we hug eachother and then walk into the room.
