I stand in the doorway, watching him, my best friend.
He looks so nice in that black suit.
Truly, black is a good color on him, especially with his red necktie.
I see him tear up as I enter the large, crowded room.
I'll bet he's crying because he thinks this dress looks great on me.
It does, though; a long, fluffy, sleeveless red gown, connected up by my neck, and a button on the back of the collar. It has some flowers and gems scattered along it, glitter, too; not the typical wear for this type of occasion, which makes it that much more amazing.
As I finally reach him, he wipes at his watery eyes with his right hand, and takes one of mine in his other.
His smile is so precious, and I, too, cannot contain my overwhelming joy.
This is it.
This is the moment I know that I will be happy for many years to come.
The instant I finally find myself at a loss for words, but not for tears.
The day I've been waiting for since he and I first met.
I will finally get to marry him, my best friend.
