Chapter 6:Confession

    I laid in bed by myself. I had relived everything. Waking up to now. Lincoln was doing his thing and I was trying to sleep. I kept seeing Zack with her, making her laugh, basically forgetting our night. I thought we had something, I was wrong.
        "Valery," a voice called from my door. I quickly dried my little tears and made my way to the door. I opened it to see Marcus.
      "Hey Marcus," I sniffled smiling at him.
      "We're you crying," he looked closely.
      "No, my allergies are messing up," I quickly lied," what's up?"
      "Uh, there's open mic night on the sky deck. I thought maybe you would join us," he offered.
      "Sure, I'll meet y'all there I need to change," I smile before saying see ya. I quickly change :



I made my way to the sky deck to see the group there watching someone singing.
     "Hey guys," I smile standing besides London and Bailey.
      "Valery, you made it," Lon cheered, "now you can sing!"
      "You sing," Cody asks before handing Bailey a Smoothy.
     "I did," I reply, "only when I have a song in heart."
     "Can you sing tonight," Bailey asked, "for an early Christmas gift?"
     "Sure, where do I sign up?"
     "You singing," Lincoln's voice called from behind us.
     "Eavesdrop much," Zack hissed.
      "Yeah I'm singing," I slightly smile, "I thought I'd sit the new song I wrote last night."
     "Can't wait," he smiled.
     "I already signed you up," London cheered.
     "Next up, Valery," Mr.Moseby announced.
   I walked up the stage, "hey guys, I wanna sing an original I wrote last night. Um, it means a lot to me. For a special someone," I smile before positioning the mic. I slowly breathed in and released it before singing.

      I could feel my emotion poor out into the performance. When I opened my eyes at the end I could see everyone cheering, I looked towards Zack and he was smiling, 'You were amazing' he mouthed. I walked off stage and to him only to have Lincoln walk in the way.
    "You were fantastic. Who was it for," he asked.
    I looked at Zack," A special someone. Excuse me Lincoln I need to talk to someone," I smiled before continuing to Zack, "What did you think?"
     He smiled before saying, "I loved it. Who was it for," he asks before smirking.
     "You know, I was hoping he would find out during the song," I said looking down smiling.
      "Lincoln," he asks.
      "No," I look up to see him smiling at me, "hopefully you find out soon," I say kissing his cheek before heading back to my dorm and changing to my jammys.



I went to lay down but there was a knock on my door. I got up and opened it to see Zack smiling like an idiot, "I figured it out," he said before kissing me. I instantly kissed back lacing my fingers in his hair as his arms looped around my waist. We pulled back breathing heavily resting our foreheads together, "did I get it right?"
     "Yes," I breathed before kissing him again. Happiest moment of my life so far.
