I woke up to the sound of a guitar strumming. I sat up and saw my boyfriend sitting in a couch, shirtless, playing a tune.

He looked up and saw me. "Hey, beautiful," he said in his sexy voice, his garnet orbs twinkling.

"Hey, Oliversmith," I said. In a blink, he was in front of me. I smiled, used to it now, showing how much I'd grown since the first book.

He tilted my chin upwards, and then suddenly, my window shattered into a million pieces. A tanned shirtless muscled man leaped through, landed on my bed, and shoved Oliversmith off. "Don't touch her," he growled.

"Come on, Lycander," I said, calling him by his first name to show how much we had bonded since the first book. I kissed my mate's cheek. Yes, I had both a boyfriend and a mate. Rules don't apply to moon goddess vampire queen.

"If she's going to carry anybody's babies, it will be mine," snarled Lycander. "You're just a lowly vampire. You don't even head your clan."

"I am the dominant male vampire!" said Oliversmith. "My father may run the clan, but I am in charge! At least my family loves me. Yours tried to kill us!"

OHHHHH! I thought. Out loud, I said, "Stop fighting!" and pouted.

Both boys turned to me, simpering. "I'm sorry, sweetbuns," said Oliversmith, stroking my cheek.

"Don't touch her, I said!" bellowed Lycander, reaching to rip off his shirt, before realizing he had none. He got up and left, grumbling.

"See you later, sweetbuns," said Oliversmith, winking and then disappearing.

Suddenly I heard one of my werewolf sentries howl, "Humans!"
