Before you ask. No, I have nothing against Shane, I actually liked him as a character. He knew how the world worked, and how things were gonna have to be. He saw it before Rick, why do you think he became more of an intense character then all the rest of them. Shane and Rick had one thing in common, the both lost the love of their life, Lori. In my opinion that's what lead the both of them into their individual crazy mindset.
I was unable to do Shane or Merle because, I couldn't find the right time frame to add things into the plot sorry.
