I was still extremely tired I held Naru's hand tired and started shaking in fear.

The axe man just quietly walked down the hall straight to the parents room dragging his axe down the halls, that evil smirk on his face of satisfaction..

Then he swung his axe down, blood spattered everywhere.

I woke up in a hot sweat and wiped my face and arms "Mai.. Are you ok?" Naru said I stopped wiping my arms and looked at him shocked then recollected myself "I'm fine... I'm fine" I said forcing myself to believe that I'm fine.

I shook my head smiled "anyway are we close?" He sighed "we are about here" it was your average size house, white siding with a small porch "it's a cute tiny house" I said smiling at Naru, he sighed and smiled back.

"You love seeing him smile?!!"

"Shut up Gene!"

"Keep your thoughts to yourself princess"

*flicks a spit of energy*

"Ah!" I said rubbing my head while Naru puts his hand to his head and sighs "Mai..!" I looked at Naru wide eyed "it was Gene!" He sighed and got out the car.

"I swear you two"-Naru

"Look! Gene pissed me off!!"-Mai

"I just stated the truth, Mai can't keep her thoughts about you to her self Naru"- Gene

"Oh, I'm so gonna kick your ass"-Mai

"Look Mai, go bring some stuff in and keep your thoughts to yourself.. Also no ass kicking, Gene stop reading Mai's thoughts and getting her in trouble"-Naru

I scoffed and brought his stupid equipment in the house, as soon as I entered a shiver went down my spin and I faint smell of blood came up my nose.

I shook my head and looked at Naru "hey?" He nodded at me with his straight face "what Mai?" I looked around the house nervously "do you smell that?" He looked at me and sniffed "no.. Why do you smell blood?" I nodded "I do, here lets put this in base then follow me to the area ok?" We nodded and did so.

"Lin can you set up please? Mai and myself are gonna set up some cameras, microphones, and record the temperature" Lin nodded and stood up "come on Mai, be a good girl and follow the scent" I glared at Naru "not a dog remember!" He sighed "you're acting like one, now come on!" I growled and followed the blood sent.

"Naru it's coming from upstairs" he nodded "come on Mai" I grunted and kept going up the stairs in the hall the sent for stronger "it's hella strong up here" he frowned I sighed "it's very strong, you can't smell it?" He shook his head "but you can right Mai?" I nodded.

"I would think like Urado you could smell it" he sighed "Urado was alive though easier to smell live blood, this blood is dead.. As in the person is dead... But you can smell it" I grunted "yeah I can dead or alive, awesome vampire skills" I said still sniffing around "hey Naru its this way" I said going towards the door.

He stood in front of me, and opened the door "Mai don't move" Naru said walking in the room I rolled my eyes and walked in with him, I gasped loudly almost a scream "Naru.. All this blood, how did you not smell it!?" He shrugged "I'm not sure" the lights flickered off then on and the blood was gone.
