Minhyuk's POV
"Hyungwon, just let me take a look."
"I don't want you to feel any worse..."
The younger boy and I were sitting in a spare room in his house, a few hours after the incident under the bridge. I didn't want the others to intrude too much on his privacy so I came alone, but Hyungwon was already prepared for that, a white mask over his face. As he spoke he batted my hand away from peeling it off.
"We're all in this together, right?"
He finally conceded, letting me gently remove the mask. But it was only then when I realized that the priest and his men were serious about the entire matter. As I examined his face, there was almost nothing to say, except for the tiniest of "oh"s.
Hyungwon's expression was pallid, with a cut on the nose, a bruised cheek, and other conspicuous injuries. It was obvious that the promise from earlier was broken. A promise from one of the officials, shattered. The lowest of the low. Though to other people an oath was just words, to my friends - me included, a promise was held forever unless the situation we were in was a life-and-death one.
I felt pity and compassion for everyone, and when it was combined with the priest's betrayal, anger rose out of the mixed feelings. Vengeance blinded me when I looked at Hyungwon, humiliated because of what happened. "Stay here, rest, and try to heal yourself up. I have to do something."
"Whatever you want..." He mumbled, an empty and haunted look in his eyes.
Running out of the room, I formed my plan for revenge. This isn't over yet.

Hyunwoo's POV, 45 minutes after Minhyuk's plan
So much was happening today... what was going on? There was what happened under the bridge, the broken promise (Minhyuk told me everything over the phone), and what was unfolding before my eyes. Father had fallen into a coma, and now was lying inert on a hospital bed a few feet away. Not even the most advanced doctor here could cure the unknown sickness.
There was no way of knowing if he would wake or not, but I was determined to find a way to have him at least say goodbye to me in the worst case scenario, legal or not.
Fingering a white mask in my hand, I stared through the eye holes to where my father was sleeping in the state he was in. He lay there, peaceful of body and mind, but there was always the possibility that he would never see the sun, the sky, or anything else again.
Accepting that there was nothing I could do for now, I left the hospital and started when Jooheon came up next to me in an alley. In his hands was a black bag.
"I know what happened, too. This may help, but don't tell anybody." He zipped the top open and revealed the contents. As soon as I saw what was in there, I knew what he was thinking - and went with it.
"Thank you, brother."
"Though we really aren't siblings, no problem, hyung."
Even when everything still had to be planned out precisely and a million things could go wrong, we were ready to bet all.
