File 8: Run And Hide. He's Coming!

I came back with the average size piano a Yamaha, I have to tune it from time to time, but other then that I'm happy with it. I opened the SPR door to find everyone sitting on the couches I smiled as the two men brought in the piano.

After doing that I handed them the money and they handed me a note
I frowned but accepted it I smiled and raised my hands in the air "Tadaaaaaaa!" I said in excitement, there sweat dropped "are you actually going to use that?" I nodded "even if I don't it nice decoration" there sweat dropped even more.

"Alrighty then Mai, play us a song" I glared "Whyyy?" Monk smirked "practice" I sighed and sat down, play the keys brought me chills to go down my spin it was pleasing to hear chords in tune.

I smiled "it's a simple melody, no singing just the music from the piano" They all nodded and I played at the ivy gate.

As I reached not the full end of the song but stopped because I wanted to I relaxed on the chords and played slower and kind of faded the keys, I smiled playing the piano so fluently brought me to ease.

I felt someone touch my shoulder I jumped and slammed down the on the piano keys, I glared at who did and tackled her "really Ayako?! I would win this fight so fast!" I yelled she giggled and scoffed "sure Mai". I glared and flashed red eyes directly in to her eyes but quickly stopped due to the massive headache that was forming.

I groaned, she frowned and helped me up "what's wrong?" I shook my head slowly "it's nothing I'll be fine" I opened my eyes to find Naru's glare staring right into my soul, I stared back for a good minute while everyone was silent to see who would break first.

Naru sighed and went to his office right before saying "Mai tea" then slammed his door, I crossed my arms and smirked in satisfaction "wow Mai, Naru never breaks first in the staring contest you guys have" I glanced at him and nodded "yeah I know, it's weird but I feel pretty poweful" I said flexing with the little muscle I had, we all laughed then I finally made every one some more tea because who doesn't like tea a thousand times a day?!

Handing everyone the tea I went inside Naru's office and placed his tea down in front of him "Mai.. Are you okay?" He asked awkwardly I frowned at him "yeah I'm perfectly ok" he then glared at me "you don't have to glare to get information out of me. I occasionally am getting headaches from flashing my eyes" he nodded, he opened his book and wrote it down.

"Mai go talk to Lin.."

I frowned and grunted "about what!" I complained.

"Your powers.."

I frowned "what's he gonna tell me?"

Naru sighed "I'm thinking about your situation at the moment so go talk to him"

I dropped my head and looked at the floor scratching the back of my head "I'm not gonna talk to him.... I like Lin but I'd rather hear you tell me something I already don't know"

he nodded "alright Mai.. I'm ok with that" I nodded and walked out "thank you Mai" Naru said I turned around wide eyed "no problem Naru" I said in happiness.

Walking out of his office I have a sigh of love "what's going on Mai?" Monk said wiggling his eyebrow I smirked and become over dramatic "Naru.... He thanked me!!" I said acting like I was gonna faint, they all laughed "wow Mai, him getting to thank you.. Why don't you two already just date!!" Ayako said, I rolled my eyes and gave Lin his tea then went back to everyone else.

"So Mai... You and Naru!!" Monk asked I sighed "ok Monk, you ask this after every case. Nothing special happened"He gave me this straight face tell me to stop lying I rolled my eyes "me and Naru saw fireworks together.... And I slept in his arms" I blushed a lot as Masako looked extremely jealous.

John gave me a high five when Ayako and Monk got me to stand up, in doing so they wrapped there arms around me "now Mai... I think it's time we've had a talk.." I raised my eyebrow then made a disgusted face "no! I don't want this talk!" I said trying to wiggle out of there grip Ayako sighed and sat me down "now look Mai... Protection"
"Alright I'm leaving" I said getting up "Mai.. Have you ever?" Monk asked
"Monk, Ayako that is my business" everyone laughed as Monk and Ayako tried to take to me about.. The love between a man and women.

I sighed as Monk and Ayako talked to me about it "Look! I am not discussing this, I am going home and packing for tomorrow's case! Goodnight" I said getting up and leaving the office.

I shiver, made a disgusted face and
went back home to pack.

I didn't sleep through the night and decided eight seemed a good time to get up and get ready. I grabbed a pair of ripped jeans, a nice turquoise top, with the of course underwear and bra.

I hopped in the shower washed myself and hair then hopped out of shower and put on my clothes I smiled cheerful "oh it feels so good to take a clean shower, with clean water, and clean clothes!!" I said cheerful laying down on the comfy bed smelling the sheets.

After a good 10 minutes I got up grabbed some tea, headphone, keys and left the house.

I entered the SPR building to Naru yelling at me "Mai you're late! Make some tea" he yelled for tea like every other time, I grunted and made his stupid tea "sure you stupid tea loving narcissist!" I sighed.

I handed Naru and everyone else there tea and started packing the van "so Mai.... Remember when you froze the tea?" John asked, I nodded firmly "yeah why?" He nodded at Monk and threw a big rock at me, I got scared and flinched my hands up to stop the rock.

Monk and John both came up to me and the rock and stared intestine "wow Mai! That's so cool!" John said I opened my eyes but kept my hands up "Mai!" Naru yelled at me, I dropped my hands and stared at him "mhm?" I said.

He glared at all three of us "great now you've done it you three" Ayako said I glared at them flashing red eyes.. But keeping my stance through the headache "Mai, don't do it again" I smirked "do it again? Ok!" He glared, I held my hands up in defence "alright boss" he glared at John and Monk too "you two.. Don't do that again" Monks jaw dropped "oh come on Naru, Mai has to learn her ability!" He sighed "and she will once she's in better condition, now get in the car and let's go" he complained heading to the car.

I followed Naru and Lin to the van, as Monk, Ayako, John, and Masako headed to the other car, I got in the car and as soon as I entered the car I started getting drowsy, Naru glanced at me worried "you ok Mai?" He asked I nodded and yawned "I'm just really tired that all" he nodded "go ahead and sleep then it's gonna be awhile" I nodded and did so.

I fell asleep on Naru's shoulder and our hands holding..
