"Rachel! Stop!" I ran as fast as I could after my twin. Bugs buzzed in my ear and wind rushed through my auburn hair. It felt good but it was I was slowly running out breath. I could only see flicker of her hair. "Slow down!" I shouted. Everything around me was a blur of green. I saw few colored specs but everything else was green. Finally I got to Rachel. She was bent over staring at something. "Look at this Es." She said in awe. I peered over her shoulder to see a cinnamon colored rock. I failed to see the importance of it. "Its...a rock. What the big deal?" I raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't it look cool." Rachel seemed to be memorized by the plain colored rock. "You're weird, Its just a rock. Lets keep going." I stood straight up and started walking. Rachel suddenly let a bloodcurdling screech. I immediately spun around and ran towards her. "Rachel? What happened?" I sat next to her. My heart was beating a mile a minute. What could of happened in the few seconds I walked away from her. Tears were in her dark green eyes. "The rock stung me! It stung me!" She held her red hand. "What the fuck?" I stared at the rock in fear. Then I noticed something next to it. Three things actually. A golden pocket watch, a tiny hourglass timer, and switchblade. The hourglass figure....had red liquid and water. "Rachel...did you drop this...." The items were so weird... "No. What are those things." Rachel frowned and squinted her eyes. She picked up the pocket watch. "Who uses these?" She chucked it far into the sky. "What if someone left that there, why would you throw it?" I picked up the switch blade and turned carefully. Rachel picked up selected the hourglass figure. "Is this blood?" She twisted her face. "No. That isn't blood. I hope so, put it down." Rachel put down the hourglass and I put down switchblade. "Lets go back to the Grandmas house. I'm so done!" Rachel stood and wiped the tears from the eyes. I stood next to her and we ran back through the woods. Those items were interesting. I couldn't stop thinking about them. A switchblade, an hourglass figure, and a pocket watch. Maybe someone dropped it. But we didn't see it before. It couldn't of just appeared. Right? When we got to the house, Grandmother wasn't there. Oh! Me and Rachel were staying at our Grandmothers house for the summer. Its been a slow summer but I was enjoying being with Grandma. Me and Rachel made ourselves hot dogs. Mine with nothing, Rachel's with mustard, ketchup, mayo, onions, and sauerkraut. We sat in front the Television on the fat floral couch. "Lets watch The Price Is Right." I said taking a bite of my hot dog. "I want to watch a Disney movie." Rachel complained. "But I want to watch The Price Is Right." I replied. "Cant change the channel if you don't have the remote." Rachel reached for the remote on the coffee table it flung towards her forehead. "Ow!" She rubbed her forehead. My eyes were wide in shock. "How did that fling towards your head?" I raised my eyebrows. "I don't know..." Rachel picked the remote that was now on the floor. "Put it back on the table and reach for it again." I said. Rachel's hands were shaking as she obeyed. She jutted her hand towards the remote and it flung off the table. "DID YOU JUST MOVE THAT REMOTE! WHAT THE HELL!" I screamed and climbed up the top of the couch. Rachel looked at her trembling hands. "I don't know...I..." Rachel stammered. She moved her hand towards the remote and it slowly levitated. I felt lightheaded. How. Is this dream? "This is crazy." Rachel suddenly grinned. I jumped off the couch and backed away from her. "How is this happening?" I asked and backed up all the way to the wall. Rachel looked at her hands. "Not sure. Do I have powers?" Rachel walked over to me. "Don't touch me!" I yelled. "Essie, don't be like that." Rachel moved closer towards me. I felt like fainting. I shouldn't be scared of sister but I was. Was Rachel some kind of witch? "Are you pranking me?" I urged. "No. How would I even pull this off?" Rachel reached out above me head. What is she doing? Is she controlling me? Rachel was actually pulling a picture of our Mom and Grandma and floating it across the room. "This is crazy. This isn't real." I shook my head. Rachel let the picture lay down on the couch. "Check if you have a powers!" She gasped. I stared at her for a moment then slowly stuck out my hand to the vase on the coffee table. It didn't move. It didn't budge at all. I curled my fingers tight and tried harder but it still wouldn't move. "I guess I don't have powers." I was extremely disappointed. It would be nice to move things. Yet we still don't know what gave us this power. "Sucks to be you. I always knew I was the better twin." Rachel smiled proudly. I grabbed Rachel's hands. "What do you have that I don't?" I scoffed. I picked up her limp pointer finger. How did she get this power. "Where did this power come from?" I closely examined her hands. Rachel slipped from my grip and put a finger on her lip. "Maybe..whoa! What if it was from the Sting? What if the rock gave me powers." Rachel said excitedly. "That's stupid. That sounds like something from a movie or something. " Rachel shrugged. "Lets go back into our room so I can move things." She ran for the stairs. "Wait! I want to go touch the rock so I can get powers." I complained. "We cant go all the way back there. We can go tomorrow lets go!" She rushed upstairs. I sighed and followed her. It was getting dark I'll give her that. When we got to our room I sat on the bed while Rachel scanned the room. She aimed for the suitcase on the floor. It didn't float or do anything. "Why isn't it moving?" She asked frustrated. "Maybe your powers ran out. Should of used it wisely!" I chuckled. Rachel scowled. "No way." Rachel put her hands towards my notepad on the desk. It did nothing. "No fair! I didn't even get to use it!" She screeched stomping her foot. I was was glad Rachel lost her powers. I was getting jealous. I stood up and walked over to my pad and reached for it and then it started floating. "I have the power now!" I exclaimed. "No fair! Give me back my powers." Rachel grabbed my wrist. "No and its not your powers." I wrestled out her grip. "How did you even get my powers?" She asked glaring at me. "I don't know. Maybe your..I mean the, is timed and it switches." I replied. "That's terrible." Rachel huffed. I glanced at my hands for a second. "Or...." I touch her fingers. "Try moving something." I demanded. "I have my powers back?" Rachel aimed the notepad again and it floated again. "Whoa. I have my powers back." Rachel smiled. I touched her fingers again. Then I tried moving the note pad. It slid off the desk. "So we must transfer our powers by touching fingers." I explained. "I kind of wanted to power for myself but this is cool too. Essie think of all the things we can do with this power! This is a start to a a brand new life." Rachel's smile turned into a grin. I smiled back.
