A Champions Love (Red x Reader)

Meeting Up Again

It's been a two years since I last saw Red and Green... Wow, as time passes on, I didn't realize how much I missed the two of them. I wonder where they are now...

I was just walking with my Ivysaur and (F/P). We were on our way to battle the fifth gym leader, Koga, I believe his name is. But... Something felt off in this town. I don't know what it is but, I somehow feel a presence of somebody I know.

"Hmm... I swear... I feel a familiar presence, but where?" I looked down at Ivysaur and saw Ivysaur look up at me. I'm guessing Ivysaur felt it too.

"Ivysaur? Do you feel the same thing I do?" He just nodded his head. I looked (down/up) at (F/P). "You don't know who these people, or person, is (F/P). But I'm sure one day you'll know."

(F/P) looked kind of left out but didn't mind since (he/she) didn't know who these people were.

"Should we go check out the Pokémon Centre? I'm pretty sure I feel this presence there." Both of the Pokémon nodded their heads and we walked in that direction.

We were just in front of the Pokémon Centre when we heard some shouting. Hmm... Green certainly doesn't want to make a big commotion unless it was for a bunch of girls so...

I opened the doors to the Pokémon Centre and saw, Red there, shouting.

Red... It's been so long and look how much you've grown.
I walked over to him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hold on! I want my Pokémon to be healed but the Nurse Joy says they can't because the healing... Thing! Is broken! How is that possible?!" Nurse Joy sighed. "I'm sorry mister. But you can come back tomorrow when it's fixed."

I was getting a bit frustrated with Red's tone of voice with Nurse Joy so, I decided to step in and help her.
"Red, just listen to her. You can just come back tomorrow."

Red froze. "Wait... That voice... ____?" He turned around and faced me. We were now, literally, two inches apart. "____! It's so nice to see you again! Wow, it's been like, what? Two years!"

He hugged me and I blushed. I forgot how much I missed these hugs from him... So I hugged back and smiled. "How have you been, Red? It's been so long." He had a bright smile on and he released the hug, much to my disappointment. "I've been fine! Caught so many Pokémon, earning all my badges, missing you..."

He put his head down so I wouldn't see his blush. But that was fine since I wouldn't want him to see my blush either. "Red... I missed you too, very much. Also Green but, he's not here right now. But, I'm proud of you. I've been only getting all the badges and that's about it."

He looked back up and laughed. "That's fine ____! You don't have to go for the top like me and Green are trying to. Just be you, that's all that is important." I smiled at his words. "Thanks Red. Hey, do you have a place to sleep? It's kind of getting dark outside and I don't wanna camp out... Again."

He just nodded his head but then blushed a bit. "Yeah, I do but... I thought it was only going to be me so I only have one bed." Pink dusted my cheeks until I came up with a solution.

"Just think of it like we are having a sleepover! Like we used to have back when we were young!" He thought for a moment and nodded his head. "That's not a bad idea! Good thinking ____!" I smiled at his praise. "Thank you."

We both turned back to Nurse Joy. "Okay, I'll wait until tomorrow. ONLY because ____ here says so." She just smiled at us. "Okay, have a goodnight." Red left ahead of me and I soon followed. Not without hearing, "young love is truly a mysterious thing..."

I sighed and then smiled. "Maybe... Just maybe..."

We both entered Red's rented room in the Pokémon Centre. "Well, here it is! Room sweet room." I laughed at his joke. He just looked back at me and pouted. "Hey! It's not funny! It's true!" I just laughed some more.
