Kim Namjoon's Perspective:
It was early October and the wet season had just begun. Outside, it lightly poured but in a corner booth, inside a warm cafe, I sat alone. I was waiting for the others.
It was the same thing every Monday morning: At seven twenty-five, I would meet with the same people in the same cafe - we had become so familiar with - that it became almost a tradition. It was like that for three years.
However, today was different from any other Monday morning. I pulled up my hand and read the time on my wristwatch; It was 7:20 A.M. I chuckled.
I was never the first one to arrive.
It was always almost Seokjin that was the first one here, and if it wasn't Seokjin, it was Yoongi - believe it or not. He liked coffee, too. We all did.
This morning though, I didn't take an order for coffee. I thought I'd skip the coffee for today - since I didn't feel a need for it - so I did.
As I waited, I was caught off guard, suddenly, when the sound of a bell rang. I followed the noise of wet shoes and quiet laughter at the entrance, and soon found Jungkook behind Hoseok as they approached me, making their way to the booth.
"The rain is getting heavier by the second!" Hoseok said, pulling down his hoodie.
I laughed, "You should've worn a raincoat, instead."
Jungkook chuckled and I moved aside for him to sit beside me, Hoseok sitting himself on the other end.
"I'm surprised neither Seokjin-hyung or Yoongi-hyung was here first," Jungkook said in awe, and Hoseok and I agreed with him.
"I'm not drinking today but did you guys want something to order?" I asked the two, leaning forward.
Hoseok didn't wait a second to answer, "Americano Coffee is all I want, right now."
"Isn't that what you always drink here?" Jungkook questioned, beginning to smile, and Hoseok, looking a little embarrassed, stared at him.
"Ah, you little smart mouth, of course that's what I always drink here," Hoseok laughed, "Now, do you want your cup of Cappuccino, also, because if not, I'll just order for myself."
Jungkook cuts his laughter short and answers quickly, "Oh, a cup of Capuccino, please."
I can't help but laugh.
Alone with Jungkook, I pull my wrist up and it's already 7:25 A.M. Jungkook huffs and stares at the entrance door, setting his mobile onto the table.
"I bet Seokjin is going to walk through that door any second."
"There is no bet," I laugh, "It's not like you'll see Jimin come earlier than Seokjin, anyway."
As Jungkook focuses on the door, a silhouette suddenly appears, and like we expected, as the door is pulled open and the bell rings, Seokjin walks in.
"Knew it!" Jungkook laughs as if his prediction would win him a hundred-thousand won and I laugh.
At that moment, Hoseok returns to the table with two cups of coffee for Jungkook and himself, and waves to Seokjin. Seokjin nods and waves to him, as well, as he makes his way to the booth. I gesture to Hoseok to make space for Seokjin when he approaches the booth but he stands for a few seconds before sitting himself down.
He exhales, "He would've liked this weather."
And Jungkook nods as Seokjin slightly grins, sitting down and pulling at his hoodie like Hoseok had done.
