Summer Love

Chapter 1

   I sprang up this morning with an explosion of excitement in my stomach. Today, my boyfriend of 4 years and I are starting our summer off with a trip to the beach.
I'm 22 and fresh out of college. My name is Maddie by the way. I decided to go ahead and get the introduction over with, so please bear with me! I don't have a complete sob story, but life wasn't easy for me. It isn't easy for anyone actually. But school was very stressful, friends came and went. My boyfriend is 25, has a very good job, and has put up with me for longer than most people. His name is Ashton, and I love him with all my heart. Yes, I understand it sounds cliche and your probably thinking "another one of those crazy love stories." But it isn't. And I hope you enjoy it. Anyway, back to this morning!
   I slightly raised my head off of Ashton's chest.
   "Ash, wake up. We gotta catch out flight!"
   "I'm up Princess." He held me close and kissed my head. "You ready to get up?" I nod and kiss his cheek and stand up. I walk out of the bedroom of our shared apartment and look at our pile of suitcases. Ashton comes out with his messy hair and shirtless torso. My heart fluttered. That man never fails to make my heart race. He smiles at me.
   "Alright babe, let's finish getting ready. We gotta leave in 20 minutes."
  We both eat a quick breakfast and get ready. I put the last few items into our suitcases and take a deep breath.
  "Ash honey, its time to go!"
    "Coming babe! Sorry, I forgot something." I nodded, not thinking twice about it. We drag our bags behind us and put them into my parents car. They offered to drive us to the airport. Ash and I quickly agreed, considering that parking can be so expensive at airports! As we leave our apartment, Ash laces our fingers together. I smile, knowing this is gonna be an amazing vacation.
