~Following Week~

I walk into the bar after showing the guard my ID. I walk in and see people sitting at table and seats while people on stage perform. Singing songs. I take a seat at the bar and get the bar tenders attention and he walks over

"How may I help you sir?" He asks

"Apple Martini please" I order placing a fifteen dollar bill on the counter, he takes it and starts making my drink. Once I'm given it I take a sip, nothing better than having an amazingly made martini. I look around and see this bar is like most bars. Couples making out, the men's hand is all the way up their partners dress, people starting to become drunk or tipsy while the singers sing

My mind starts to wonder off back to Delly and Gale. It may not sound like it but I loved her... Underline the word loved. When Delly first told me she was pregnant I was over the moon and we told both of our families. I make it sound like she's a two-faced bitch but she was actually a very kind and considerate person or so I thought. She was only three months pregnant when I caught her riding Gale like a bull. In that moment I swear you could hear the tare of my heart being broken to pieces and just the sight made the experience even more horrific. I just wish it hadn't happened. Just so it would've saved me all that pain.

I sigh drinking my third martini. Lucky that I caught a cab here... I just want to forget all of my problems and try to enjoy myself. When I look across the bar I see a woman... She's absolutely stunning, beautiful and she's dressed red she notices me staring and smiles sweetly at me and I smile back. Something that I haven't done in a while, her hair is up in a neat hairstyle, little bits of brown streaks in her dark hair making her even more unique, her olive skin makes the dress stand out. I can't take my eyes off her

"Don't even think about it boy. That one has the strictest father on earth. You'll never be able to get that one" the bar tender explains knocking me out of the daze

"How do you know?" I ask

"Because. He always comes to pick her up from here and the amount of guys that ask her to dance just to sneak their hands somewhere is unbelievable. Almost fifty men over the past two weeks have asked her" he explains

"She looks old enough to move away from her dad" I reply

"She is. In a few days she'll be leaving to god knows where" he says while cleaning glasses and I look back over to her and see she's looking at her drink her red lips pursed in a straight line.

Soon the last lot of people and it's just myself and Katniss. I take this as my chance and stand and walk over sitting next to her and she smiles

"Hey" I say

"Hey" she replies

"So uh... What's your name?" I ask

"I'm Katniss"

"I'm Peeta" I introduce holding out my hand out and she shakes it

"So uh... What's your favourite colour?" I ask and she giggles

"Woah Peeta. That question has gone too far" she gasps jokingly

"Haha. But seriously what is it?" I ask and she smiles

"Green. Usually any kind of green"

"Mines orange" I state

"Like oranges" she giggles and I chuckle

"Nah. No. Not like that orange. More of a sunset kind of orange. You know. Sunsets are peaceful and beautiful. Just like you" I compliment making her blush

"Please tell me you're not doing this to get into my pants" she sighs

"No. Of course not. I just wanna dance with the lady in red" I say as the music starts and she bites her lip as I hold my hand out and she takes it and so we start dancing

Once the last beat is finished we both look at each other. I place my hand on her cheek and rub it with my thumb and she smiles leaning into the touch. We both lean in and I feel butterflies in my stomach and just as our lips are inches from touching

"Katniss. Tim to leave. Now" says a bulky man with dark hair, grey eyes and olive skin

"Yes daddy" she mumbles and she grabs her bag and walks past me, as she gets to the door, she smiles at me and after I smile back she walks out and I frown, I finally felt something and now she's gone... This fucking blows.
