The Good Old Days

(Short introduction chapter)

Zoe opened her eyes and took a deep breath. Morning already, she sighed knowing that Alfie would be up and gone. As she turned to the other side of her bed, a feeling of unsatisfactory overwhelmed her, she felt as if all the times she spent with Alfie were her last. Although she loved him, she felt like she wasn't enough. Alfie was always hanging around in his office either with poppy, shaun or just by himself.

As the hours went by and Zoe had almost finished editing today's new video "Another Huge Lush HAUL!" She heard her stomach rumble and figured it was about time she ate something. She groaned and flicked the covers off her slightly sweaty legs and feet. She sighed again. Sighing seemed to be her new favourite sport, it seemed to be the only thing she did other than sleeping, eating and editing/filming videos that she did. She took several deep breaths before heading downstairs.

A small dark figure followed Zoe's side, Zoe knew she couldn't dwell on the absence of Alfie everything he left the house. She looked down at the dark figure and said in her squeaky, cheery mum voice "Nala, hello baby" Zoe felt a happy vibe next to Nala and couldn't help but smile when she was around her.

As she reached the bottom steps, she looked towards the door and remembered the first day Alfie and herself walked threw the door, it was a distant memory. She thought back to the good old days, She and Alfie were the new couple on youtube and thought it would be a good idea to move into their very own house.

Zoe quickly snapped back into reality and sighed again. She felt a tear slowly falling down her cheek, she firmly wiped it and Made some breakfast. Oatmeal, Great, The same old, same old. Zoe sat at the table with her oatmeal and rose gold table spoon.

She continued to look around her house and kept seeing flash backs to her first year of living here with Alfie. "I can't believe it was 5 years ago we moved in together" Zoe Smiled whilst saying this because it seemed like 5 years went in a day.

She knew things wouldn't be how they were when Alfie and herself first got together but it needed to feel better then having anxiety every time Alfie would come home
