My hands hovered above the keyboard for a few transient moments, and then I sighed. Should I reply?
I spent five minutes typing a reply, only to backspace and delete it. Then, with an impetuous shake of the head, I replied back to him.
My heart was racing as I closed my phone and slid it into the pockets of my high waisted shorts. There was no way I'd allow him to come over. My mood grew bashful as I hopped off the stool and returned back to the living room, rubbing my palms together.
