"How'd we drift so far away
From where we left off yesterday
Lonely like a castaway-ay-ay
Heartbreak that I can't escape
A sinking ship I'll never save
Lonely like a castaway-ay-ay"

A certain raven-haired girl bobbed her head to the music blasting from her headphones, ignoring the few people she passed.

She arrived at school early in a slightly grumpy mood, like usual, and walked down the hallway to her locker. Once she reached her locker, she put in her combination and opened it, grabbing all the school things she needed, as well as checking if everything else is still in its proper place.

God knows what would happen if anyone finds her ammo or worse, use them.

She shivered at the thought. She'd seen the news and she didn't like it one bit, even if she has a... not-so-good background. But she had her reasons for doing those actions; she had to do it or worse things could and would happen. She was shaken out of trance, quite literally, by a boy in a flamboyant outfit.

"Hey! I have something to te- What? Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked when he noticed her staring. She took a quick glance at his outfit and raised an eyebrow.

"If you're really trying to be discreet in being gay, you are doing a horrible job." She said.

"Is it wrong for a guy to have great style?"

"No, but once said guy wears jeans that look way too tight to be comfortable and still tries to hide the fact that he's gay, he needs to get his brain checked out." The boy rolled his eyes at his best friend's way of showing her concern.

"Har har. Thank you for your concern." He drawled which just gained him the girl's signature smirk.

"Anything for you, Louis-poo." She said, this time, a sickly sweet smile on her face that showed her dimples.

"Stop calling me that." Louis whined, pouting. This time it was her who rolled her eyes.

Such an immature boy.

"You know I won't stop, right? What's the point of asking?"

"You never know you might actually listen to me." He shrugged.

"Like that will ever happen." She snorted, closing her locker shut.

"Anyways, before you interrupted me-"

"Boy, I didn't even interrupt you yet!" She said, cutting off her friend. He gave her a pointed look. She raised her arms in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, sorry!"

"I was going to tell you, the cheerleading squad's missing some people since Reyna busted her knee from falling from the top of the pyramid when Julienne shifted to her left to scratch an itch, and we need to be exactly 25 to join Regionals so since Reyna's out and coach suspended Julienne for her carelessness and partly because of her hatred for her, we need some more people." He rambled on, walking beside her as they headed to his locker.
