We made our way thru the gate and I was completely amazed by how big and advanced the city is; there were people moving around the base, looking to my left I see six soldiers guarding the gate. A soldier sees me and began to raise his gun at me causing my instincts to kick in, I run and tackle the soldier to the ground. I draw my sword holding it to his throat and I hear guns being aimed and look up and see the other five soldiers pointing their weapons at me. Ronon took out his gun aiming it at the soldiers then Sheppard began barking orders at the men.
"Major tell your team to stand down." Sheppard said
"Alika." Ronon said
"What in the hell is going on here!?" a woman with curly hair yelled
"This "man" was going to shoot me." I growled out in disgust
"EVERYONE STAND DOWN NOW! THAT'S AN ORDER!" Sheppard yelled causing the soldiers to lower their weapons
I slowly get off of the soldier and put my sword away keeping a grip on my knife."
"John who is this woman?" Curly haired lady asked
"Elizabeth this is Alika, she is from Sateda." Sheppard said
"That doesn't explain why you brought her here."
"She needs a place to stay, she has been on the move for 8 years."
"SHE'S A RUNNER?!"
"I am no runner, I was among the very few from my planet to escape. I just never stay on one place for long periods of time." I spoke for myself
"We don't know her she cannot stay here." Elizabeth said
"I know her." Ronon said stepping behind me
"How?"
"I helped her off of Sateda during the attack and I knew her family for many years; she is trustworthy."
"She must be under-guard 24/7 till I deem she is trustworthy. And if anything goes wrong its on your teams heads."
"Understood." Sheppard said
"Teyla show Alika to one of the rooms; now Sheppard, McKay I want you two in my office. NOW." Elizabeth said walking away
"I believe that you will like it here Alika, once you get used to it of course." Teyla said leading me away from the gate
"I'm not so sure about that, I don't think I will be staying long. It's clear that I am not wanted here."
"I know it is hard to adjust to new places, but I believe that you will like it here." Teyla said stopping in front of a door
"Thanks Teyla, I guess we will see."
"Yes, how about I show you how the room controls work and I will let you get settled in." Teyla swiped her hand in front of some panel and the door opened
"That is how the door opens there is one on the inside as well." Teyla said walking towards a table next to the bed "This is how you turn the lights on and off, those are the controls you really need to know now I'm going to let you get settled in. My room is next door and Ronon's room is across the hall if you need anything else."
"Thank you Teyla." I said placing my small bag on the bed in the room
Looking around the room is pretty plain, the bed is big though. I haven't had a real bed in years so that is my favorite part of the room so far. The walls were a pale blueish color with a desk pushed against the wall. I put my bag down and went across the hall to Ronon's room, I knocked on his door waiting for him to open up.
"What? Oh hey Alika." Ronon said opening his door
"I was wondering what is so amazing about this place and why were you guys on that planet earlier?" I asked
Ronon moved to the side and let me walk into his room and closed his door. I look around his room seeing it decorated a way only a Ronon would decorate it. There were furs everywhere, wraith bones, different swords, knifes, and a painting of Satedan soldiers on the wall.
"I was a runner before they found me." Ronon said making me gasp
"I heard rumors but I could not know for sure if it was you." I whispered
"I wasn't sure if I was going to stay here myself at first, I didn't know these people but when they took my tracker out I started to learn to trust them but it isn't always easy. Sheppard saw my skills and wanted me on his team for when they go off world."
"Off world?"
"They travel to different planets trying to find people and become allies with them and trade supplies with them."
"That's why you were on that planet?"
"Yeah, they always send out teams to survey the planet first; but when I found out that Sateda was destroyed I had no where to go so I stayed here and learned to trust them."
"Why did you really stay?"
"At first it was just because they were the only people who had the means to fight back against the Wraith but then I became close to Sheppard and Teyla."
There was a knock on Ronon's door interrupting our conversation causing Ronon to go open it.
"Carson brought Lucious back to the planet and Dr. Weir wants us to keep an eye on him." Teyla said to Ronon
"Why would Beckett bring him here?" Ronon asked
"Elizabeth is trying to figure that out now, but we must go." Teyla said
"Alright, Alika you coming?" Ronon asked
"No I think I rather stay in my room because I might just kill Lucious." I said
"Alright..." Teyla said causing Ronon to chuckle
"I will check on you later." Ronon said
"Okay." I said walking back to my room
