Chapter 28 - Life or Death

Scarlett's Pov

She going to kill me.

Elijah looks as if be doesn't know what to do.

He curses under his breath and slowly starts approaching.

Marie notices this and tightens her grip.

"Just back away and she'll be fine," says Marie.

He nods and backs up and trips.

I see him fall and try to get to him.

Marie pulls me back.

I start crying louder and louder.

I stick my thumb into my mouth.

I can't help it.

I feel a little better now that I am slipping off into little space.

My daddy stands back up and smirks at Marie.

He then throws at rock at her head.

She stumbles back. I am still sitting in the same spot.

Elijah comes and picks me up and runs to the car.

He locks the door.

He reaches and his pocket looking for the keys.

At look of panic comes across his face as he looks outside.

He lets out a string curses before looking back at me.

"Princess, just not that what im doing is for your own good. Listen carefully, were going to get out the car and I wanf you to crouch down. I'll make a run for it and grab my keys and my phone. Then we'll leave ok," he says.

I take my thumb out of my mouth and nod.

"Oh and one more thing, if anything baf happens I want you to get into teh car and lock the doors do you understand," he says sternly.

I'm going to be a big girl.

We both get out on my side of the car.

He crawls over to his keys and phones when I see Andrew come and kick him in the shin.

Marie jumls on him and hits him with the back her knife.

He looks over at me with a sad smile and throws me the phone and the keys.

I run to the car and look back to him to see him trying to fight them off.

I turn to run back at him when he looks up and glares for me to go.

I get in the car and lock all the doors.

I look back and he's on the ground bleeding.

I put the key in the ignition and turn the car on.

I realize to late that I don't know how to drive.

Gosh I'm so stupid.

I pull out the phone and call the police.

I tell them whats happening and they said they'd rush here with an ambulance.

I look out and see him barely moving.

Marie and Andrew are no where to be found.

I open the car and get out to go check on Elijah.
