Most nonfiction is written from memory and we all know that human memory is deeply flawed.
This is a work of creative non-fiction. Everything here is true, but it may not be entirely factual. In some cases I have compressed events; in others I have made two people into one. The events are portrayed to the best of my memory. While all the stories in this novel are true, some names, places and identifying details have been changed to protect the privacy of the people involved.
All characters and incidents, are not products of the author's imagination, because at the time of this writing, the author had no imagination whatsoever for those sorts of things.
