Rory's P.O.V.
---------------------

"Nice to meet you." I said with a nervous chuckle, my body was frozen as they stared me down with menacing looks.

It was quiet for a moment- until a horrifying wail that came from outside broke the tension.

What in the world was that?

I stared at the door with a horrified expression. The 3 guys seemed unfazed by the sound, as if though they were used to it.

Finally, one of them decided to speak up," Who are you? What is your name?"

My eyes diverted from the door and stared at them.

"Why should I tell you?" I stated stubbornly, yet still fearful.

"Because, we won't hesitate to kill you." Another said, his voice sent shivers through my spine.

I could tell he wasn't bluffing, but I won't let that get to me...well not yet.

"At least take me out on a date first." I said with slight humor and a smirk.

If I'm going to die, at least let me enjoy my sarcasm.

"Sweetheart, we don't mess around. If you're a spy of the Elders ordered to locate us, then you have another thing coming for you." He stated coming closer until his gun was aimed right at my temple.

His cold grey eyes peirced into my green eyes, and I couldn't help but become more afraid. I didn't give into the fear as I gave him a mocking smile.

"Sweetheart, I have no idea who the Elders are, and I have no idea where I'm at right now or who you are. So please dont get up and personal with me and if what's coming for me is a bottle of Vodka, then please set it aside for later." I stated pushing his very-toned arm away from my face.

"Princess if you think this is some kind of joke, then haha very funny. Now tell us who you work for." He whisper-yelled.

"I could say I work for many people, but only 3 seem to fit into that category. Their names are me, myself, and I." I chirped cheekily.

I heard the gun click and I flinched, he gave me a smirk and said," Last chance."

I glared and huffed," Fine, but first, what are your names?"

They all looked at each other before responding.

"Evan."

"Blake."

"Dylan."

I told them simple things about me, then I told them about the portal. They didn't believe me at first and surprisingly after showing them a picture of me and my dad standing in front of a beautiful resort in Hawaii, they were left speechless.

Moonlight is the only light we had, but I could see their features perfectly. Evan, the first one that talked to me, had blonde hair and dark brown eyes. Dylan, the quiet one, has brown hair and green eyes; and Blake, the one that threatened me, has black hair and grey eyes.

They were all tall and handsome, but they had a dangerous aura to them.

"What is this place?" Dylan asked.

"That is a resort I stayed in when I vacationed in Hawaii. " I said.

" All my life, I've never one seen a place so beautiful and nice." Evan whispered.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"Well, earth isn't exactly the nicest place with blown up buildings and bullet holes everywhere." Blake said.

I was beyond confused,"What are you talking about?"

"You mean, you don't know?" Dylan asked.

"There has been a war between the Elders and the Rebels for almost 70 years." Evan stated.

70 years........ that is a long time. Earth probably has millions of dimensions but I never once thought about how life would be on them.

Maybe going to different dimensions isn't a good idea.

"W-what?" I blurted," What year is this?"

"It's August 26, 2086." Dylan said.

"2086!" I gasped," No, I left on August 26, 2016. That can't be right, unless I traveled into a future dimension, which means, it'll be harder to locate on the other side, which also means, I'm trapped here."

I started to hyperventilate and the guys soon started to calm me down.

"What about that noise that came from outside?" I asked, scared of what this world holds.

"Mutants." Blake's deep voice echoed.

"They used to be humans.....but the Elders, or in other words "the dictators" overthrew the government in the year of November 1, 2016. After a couple years, they decided to force the people who didn't follow their rules into slavery. The people fought back, created clans, and called themselves "Rebels of the free world". Ever since, the Elders have been kidnapping people from their clans. Roamers, or people without clans or clans of little power, are mostly captured- then... turned to creatures that should only belong in nightmares." Evan added.

"But what happened if you follow the Elder's rules?" I asked curiously.

" Strict rules, everybody has to dress the same, talk the same, walk the same, there is no such thing as fun, basically, they're all robots. They live cities and if you're caught doing something "different" you get punished in the most horrible ways." Blake explained with an emotionless stare.

" That sounds horrible." I whispered.

Suddenly, a loud howl echoed the building, making me jump in fear.

"How about we take her to our clan? It's not safe in here." Dylan quietly said with a worried gaze.

"Let me check if it is safe." Blake said walking towards the rusty blue door. The door slightly made a squeaking noise as he pulled it open and cautiously peaked outside.

"The coast is clear." He said.

After a minute I calmed down and figured it's best to stay alive just in case my dad somehow does find me.

Evan and Dylan grabbed my arms, gently pulling me towards the door. Blake took quiet steps out and we soon followed.

I gasped at the sight of the torn down hotels and cars that looked like nothing but cheap scrap metal. The moon was behind the building we were in and the moonlight wasn't there to help us see each other again.

It took a while for my eyes to adjust, but I finally managed to see Blake's piercing grey eyes staring at me with curiosity and concern, but I diverted my gaze to the ground.

Blake grabbed my arm and started to run with the other two following us. I don't know why we're running, but it probably has something to do with the noise we heard a while ago.

Then I heard it behind us, but this time, it was more sickening.

GRAAWWW!

I felt my heart pound against my chest at the noise, and me being curious me decided to turn my head.

Shouldn't have done that.

I saw the most terrifying monster chasing us. I almost screamed but I held it back because there might be more, so I decided to run faster.

The guys seemed impressed by my stamina, they must think just because I live in a dimension that has no war, that I don't care about survival and fitness. Well screw that, I've prepared for something like this my whole life- well, running from monsters wasn't exactly on my list, but oh well.

Blake then shoved me into hole. I was confused and was about to protest- when I realized that that hole was actually a secret door.
