Michael never enjoyed playing board games, especially with his brothers; Lucifer always took games way too seriously, Balthazar got drunk halfway through the game, Gabriel is a massive cheater, no one could prove it though, and Castiel says he's not a sore loser but will end up pouting for an hour after the game is finished.

Michael didn't even know why he agreed to play a board game with them. It probably has to do with the fact that the brothers were old enough to bet money and whoever didn't play were a "big bag of dicks" in Gabriel's words.

The foreseeable arguing didn't start when the game did but before they even began.

"I refuse to play Yahtzee!" Lucifer stated.

"But I'm so good at it," Gabriel whined.

"Only because you most likely have a special set of dice." Balthazar added, "do you know how impossible it is to roll two Yahtzee's in a row?"

"We could play Twister." Castiel piped from the back of the room. A collective "no" filled the room.

"Any ideas Mikey?" Gabriel asked.

Michael honestly didn't care, he didn't even want to play at all. Well, Michael thought, Monopoly is definitely out of the question. Michael shivered at the thought of the last time they played Monopoly and didn't speak to each other for at least a month.

"Uno," Michael finally suggested.

"Fine," Lucifer sighed.

"Oh, cheer up Luci, this is gonna be fun," Gabriel patted his second oldest brother on the back.

Balthazar returned to the kitchen coffee table with two decks of Uno cards -seemed appropriate for a group of five- and began setting up the game. The brothers claimed their spots around the table and took a peek at the hand they've been dealt. Michael was seated next to Gabriel because no one wanted to be next to a trickster so it was up to Michael to be mature and take one for the team. Cas took his seat on Gabriel's other side after he lost a vigorous round of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Lucifer gave Cas a grin and sat next to Michael while Balthazar took the only available spot in between Cas and Lucifer.

And thus the game began.

Michael agrees that it may have been a bit naive of him to assume that his family can play a game together without going at each other's throats. In Michael's defense, things had been running smoothly, then the skip cards came out.

"Balthazar, you little shit!" Lucifer yelled at his brother. "How many skip cards do you have?" Balthazar was laughing is ass off at Lucifer's anger. One thing Michael never understood about human nature was the fact that people tend to laugh at others misfortunes, especially when you pull a skip card on them three times in a row.

"Shush," Michael said, pressing his finger to his lips, "let's not get to fighting 10 minutes into the game please." Michael placed down a red reverse and looked at his brother with a raised eyebrow, as if to say 'there, you got your turn. All better?' Lucifer just gave a grunt and played his turn. Balthazar was still chuckling and Castiel gave a small, satisfied smile; Cas would never admit it, but he loved seeing Luci over react. Michael saw Gabriel out of the corner of his eye and saw a grin, not a good grin but a I'm gonna fuck someone over pretty damn soon grin. Michael let it go and focused on the game.

30 minutes. The game has been going on for 30 minutes and Michael is about to pull out one of his teeth and stab himself in the foot with it. This is the longest game of Uno he has ever played. Cas was close to winning the game before Gabriel had to switch the color around on him. That lead them all to moan in agony. Balthazar was on his third glass of whatever the hell he was drinking and Cas was shooting daggers with his eyes in Gabriel's general direction.
