Anirudh was getting impatient. His grandmother had called him early that day but he had missed it due to his business meetings. Now this was his third meeting and there had been no break to call her.

He had always been his grandmother's favorite. His parents had passed away when he was young and his aunt had married and settled in the States. His grandmother was all he had and even she had moved to the other end of town despising the city's constant noise and pollution.

Without his own knowledge, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. The sudden silence made him look up and sure enough, everyone was staring at him.

"Sir, did I say something wrong?" asked his Chief Manager.

Ani felt an irritation at himself. He had drifted off and had no idea what the man was on about.

"No, sorry, my head is not in the business tonight. Can we meet later today?"

His staff dispersed quickly and Ani leaned back in his chair, before getting up with his phone in his hand.

Three rings later, a soft voice answered, "Hello?"

Ani paused. This was not someone he knew. He checked to make sure he had called the right number before pressing his ear to the phone.

"Who are you?"

There was silence. Frowning, he checked his screen again. He had been hung up on!

Annoyed, he dialed again.

"Hello?"

"Who are you?"

"You called me and you are asking who I am?"

Ani scowled. "This is my grandma's number. Who are you?"

"Oh. You are the infamous grandson. She is sleeping. You can call after an hour."

And before he could respond, the line got disconnected. The bitch had hung up on him again.

He, Anirudh, business mogul, who makes people jump through fire to make his wishes come true was insulted by .. wait a minute, who is this girl? He made to dial again and stopped himself. He was not going to let her hang up on him again. He needed to show her who is the boss and that he did not want to do over a phone.

Also he was worried. His grandma was an energetic person and she seldom slept in the afternoon.

Stepping out of the conference room, he beckoned to his secretary and cancelled all his appointments.

Walking to his car, he unlocked it quickly and settled in. Who could she be? Obviously she did not know who he was. He appointed all the staff at his grandma's place after careful screening. He was not ready to let anyone he does not trust in there. And Ani will be the first to agree that he did not trust easily.

Heck, he does not trust, period.

So who was this infiltrator? His mind percolated with thoughts. Grandma was a gentle lady who trusts easily. That was why he had been so opposed to her living alone. But he pulled all nighters and was not around enough and the city was slowly choking her. It would have drained the life out of her and Ani had given in so that she could have peace.

Now it was his peace that has been destroyed. In his opinion, women were opportunistic. Did his relationships not prove that? Time and again, women lied to get what they want or hide their misbehaviour. They said lies to cover up and when you question them, they lie some more. The only exception to this behaviour was his sweet grandma.

Agitated, he hit the horn in his vehicle hard, earning stares from the people who were waiting for the signal to change.

"Shit," he swore loudly, ignoring the stares.
