Chapter 11 The Ball

Oliver held one arm around my waist and guided me down the stairs to the ballroom floor. Soft music began to be played throughout the ball room. Mates embraced each other before walking to the dance floor and danced slowly together in each other’s arms. Oliver led me through the crowd. It was daunting. Everyone’s eyes were on us.

You will be fine. You have me by your side. You don’t need to worry. I heard his silky voice through my mind which easily made me feel better.

People were smiling at us and lightly bowing their heads in respect. Ok. This is definitely not what I expected.

This will take some getting used to. I spoke.

Don’t let it get to your head, Angel. He teased.

I gave him a nudged to his ribs which I heard him chuckle. We made our way through the crowd who parted slightly as we made our way through. People kept smiling and saying congratulations. I smiled back politely too.

I then saw Alpha Jackson and the Luna walk over to me. Jackson had the biggest grin on his face. He stopped just in front of us and bowed his head. He looked back at me and I came out of Oliver’s grip.

I went to Jackson and hugged him. He responded with the hug.

“Thank you for everything Jackson. Thank you for training me and supporting my parents and I. I really couldn’t have done these past four years without you,” I spoke.

“It is an honour Princess,” Jackson replied.

                “I am not a Princess,” I replied.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and the familiar tingle in my body. His head came by my ear.

“You are now, ever since I marked you, you became a princess,” He spoke.

My eyes widened and Jackson and the Luna chuckled lightly. I heard his beautiful chuckle beside me. The next thing I knew Aliana came through the crowd with her mate behind her. In her hand she held a red velvet box.

“Finally. Oliver, what are you keeping her away from me for?” Aliana groaned.

                I laughed at them.

Your laugh is beautiful. Oliver spoke into my mind, which made me smile.

“Hey, Aliana. You look happy. Your mate treating you well?” I asked.

“He’s amazing. He actually listens to me unlike my brother,” She replied.

“Come on. I am not that bad. Matt, watch yourself she will have you round her little finger,” Oliver moaned.

“Be nice you pair. Honestly, you pair could argue for ages,” I laughed.

“I agree with you there,” Matt laughed, before pulling Aliana against his chest.

“So anyway. Here you go Ellie. Oliver, will you do the honours?” Aliana spoke.

I was confused. Ready for what? Oliver stepped from around me and a small crowd had gathered around us and watched on. I just made out the King and Queen at the edge of the circle too. He stood in front of the box and opened it. He lifted whatever it was out of the box and turned to face me. In his hand he held a beautiful silver tiara that was carved in beautiful patterns with a few silver gems scattered across it. Oliver held it carefully and brought it towards me. He raised it up and carefully placed it onto my head.
