Chapter 2

All my resolve wavered when I saw Matty on my door step wearing a suit and holding a dark almost black rose and holding a teddy that was holding a little 'I love you' flag. I smiled but then shook my head I wasn't going to let him in again.

"Leighton I'm sorry it's just I was worried about finals and I just was hanging with kyle! I'm sor..." he trailed off when he saw my dress. I giggled not trying to hide my amusement when his jaw dropped. I knew I looked hot and he knew I looked hot. I smirked this was how it was supposed to be. Matty picking me up ON TIME and gasping at my awesomeness. Until I turned around and realized he wasn't looking at me but the keys to my new car hanging from my keychain.

"Your parents got you a '66 mustang! Why?" how he knew what kind of car I had thanks to my keys was lost on me but what really hurt was that he didn't remember what yesterday also was....

"You don't remember? You seriously don't remember what yesterday was?" he looked at me funny for a second, counting the dates back in his head until he realized the date June 10th 2011 my birthday. Today I was officially 16 years old. The whole reason I was able to drive my car. I slammed the door in his face then ran up to my room and started to cry.

But one thing was for sure he was a stupid jerk face doesn't care about anyone but himself and I was done crying over him...... After tonight, tonight I had a date with my tv and a bucket of ice cream.

It had been a day since I last saw Matty and I was going crazy missing him. I know I promised I wouldn't cry over him anymore but I didn't say anything about moping. Moping now that sounded good to me.

Gahh! "Damn it Luke! Shut the hell up and let me mope in peace!!!" Luke my BFSB and also Matty's brother was jumping on my bed repeatedly and it was bugging the hell out of me!

"No!" he shouted

"Huh?"

"No I won't stop until you stop this silly act. Matty screwed up. You have to options a dump him or hump him. Now considering this is my brother who is a complete douchpickle I'd go with option a." I knew Luke was right but I was in denile. I didn't want to believe the guy I had fallen in love wasn't there anymore. Yet the past few weeks Matty had been distant and moody barely spending anytime with me.

"Lou I can't dump him I still love him. I need to know what happened and if I don't believe it or it's a crappy excuse then I'll dump your brother's sorry ass.

Matty's POV

My best friend was in rehab..........

I couldn't believe the guy I'd known since first grade was a drug addict. He'd never shown any signs and had been just a normal person. Now because of him I was keeping a secret from my girlfriend, family, and all our friends. Hell I'd even forgotten Lei's birthday. How could I make her understand without telling her what was going on. I knew she knew something was up. She could read me to well to not be able to tell.

After she slammed the door in my face I relized what a jerk I must have been coming off as but Keenan had made me promise not to tell anyone about rehab especially Lei. When I left lei's house I just drove to our park and watched the sunset and then watched it rise.

During that time I had Come to a decision.

I'm just not sure if anyone's going to like it.................
