When everything's twisted and confused, what is one to do? What do you do when everything is turned upside down, curved and bent in so many ways, you can't understand? When you stumble across a world you weren't meant to find, there's no turning back..

My name is Angel Blackwell. I'm about to turn 19 in a few months. I have brown hair and gray eyes and tan skin. I wasn't beautiful but I wasn't ugly either. My life was normal. but it had its flaws. Just like any other teenagers life. But who knew it could all turn around in the matter of minutes. In the matter of literally 5 seconds, my life was turned around and upside down.

I was standing by the river with my jeans rolled up to my knees skipping rocks. "Angel!" My cousin Tony called. I turned around, my hand full of rocks. "Come here!" He urged. I sat my rocks down and rushed over, eager to know what he had found. "Look at this rock!" He said leaning over, staring at the ground and pointing. I looked in the direction he was pointing. There lay a rock that was an odd color. Bright color. Nothing like I had ever seen before.

It was a perfectly round, rainbow colored rock. And engraved was "Angel" in very beautiful writing. "It even has your name on it!" Tony stated in disbelief. The sun shone down on the rock and it sparkled and glittered. I reached down and picked the rock up and admired it. I wriped the few specks of dirt off with my thumb. "Wow." I breathed in shock. It was truly beautiful. Tony's fingertips touched the edge of the rock. "OW! Dammit!" He exclaimed. I looked at him. "It shocked me!" He exclaimed. "Its a rock, how can it shock you?" I chuckled. "It did!" He replied shaking his hand still. I giggled. "Oh, you think that's funny?" He asked with a grin. I nodded, still smiling but looking at the rock. "You won't when I throw you in that water!" He stated coming at me. "No! Tony! No!" I squeeled trying to run to get away from him. I felt his arms around my waist and he scooped me up.

"Put me down!" I laughed as he walked towards the water. "No!" I exclaimed. I could swim but I didn't like swimming in my jeans. And Tony knew that. That's why he was throwing me in the water.

I screamed as he tossed me in the water. But I clutched the rock. I knew I could swim back up... or I thought I could.

I kicked my arms and legs, trying to swim back up but it failed. It felt as if something was pulling me down. I could see the light shining on the water and see the rock floating further down with me but it was out of my reach. "Angel!" I could hear Tony call frantically. I knew it would do no good to scream and I wasn't going to be able to hold my breath much longer. "Angel!" He screamed again. I  knew I wasn't going to stop sinking so I stopped fighting. Everything started going black and Tony's screams faded. "Angel." It sounded like someone breathed in my ear as I sunk faster.

I felt an arm wrap around my waist and pull me up. Maybe Tony was able to save me. Maybe I was going to live or something.

I opened my eyes. I had to be dead or dreaming one. The grass was green, a few trees were pink and yellow with cherries and strawberries on them and I was lying on a yellow brick path. My rock laying beside me. I sat up, dazed and confused. I brushed my wet hair back from my eyes. "Where am I?" I questioned to myself. "Ello there mate." I heard a thick, British voice say. I looked up. "Who are you?" I asked the guy who was walking towards me. He had on a gray vest, white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, gray pants and white boots and a cane. "I'm Dsnop. I'm guessing you're Angel...?" He questioned. "How did you know?" I asked. "We'll get to that later, love." He replied. He reached his hand down to me. "Oy, you're soaked." He said taking my hand and pulling me up. "Am I dreaming?" I asked as we walked. "'Fraid not, love." He stated. "My rock!" I suddenly remembered. "Right here." He said holding it up before I could turn around. I took it. "I never seen you pick it up." I stated looking at him. "My magic. You'll learn all about it." He answered. "I have to be dreaming." I mumbled.
