Ella's P.O.V
"What is in the echo caves?" I asked slowly, through gritted teeth.
"It doesn't matter" he said, walking away.
"Yes it does Pan!"
He stopped and turned around. "So we're back on a last name basis are we Jones?"
"That depends on you, are you going to tell me or not?"
"Ella"
"Don't 'Ella' me!" I said, "I am not the one lying"
"I am not lying, I am protecting you"
"Protecting me... or you?" I snapped
"What is that meant to mean?" he snapped back.
"You think it isn't obvious?"
"What do you mean?" he replied
"It's obvious you like me, so why are you kind and sweet sometimes and the next moment you are rude and a jerk"
"One, I don't like you. Two, I am not a jerk, I am a villain"
"What's the difference?!" I said. trying to hold back tears, I ran away but this time, Peter didn't stop me. I ran and ran until I reached pan's thinking tree. I slumped my back against the tree and closed my ears. then I wept. I cried and cried until I couldn't cry anymore. I heard a twig break so I stood up to see Felix looking back at me.
"what are you doing here?" he asked.
"Sorry, I know this is Pan's thinking tree but I couldn't think of where else to go"
"It's fine" he replied, "I was just wondering if you're okay"
"No, no I'm not" I wept again, leaning on Felix's shoulder for support. I put my head in his chest and cried.
"He lied, he lied again" I said between tears.
"I know what's in the echo caves" he said
"What? Who?!"
He paused before speaking again. "Your mother"
