Chapter 28

"What do you mean Zach's coming to California?" Maya looks at me oddly.

"I'm not exactly sure," I shrug.

Maya gets out of the car, and I follow her as we walk back into her house.

"Cam's gonna be mad," Maya sighs.

"Well I'm mad at him," I reply walking to Maya's room.

I grab my pajamas, and change quickly.

"Ha, let's just have Zach show up here, and Cam won't have the slightest idea what's going on," Maya giggles.

"I still can't believe Cameron kissed Peyton," I shake my head in disbelief.

"Me too. He told me he didn't like her like that," Maya nods.

"Boys these days," I laugh.

"I'm gonna go get him," Maya says leaving the room before I can say anything.

I grab my phone, and go onto Instagram.

I post a picture of Maya and me from today, and caption: mall day with my girll(:<3

I'm tempted to check Zach's Instagram, but I don't.

"What do you want," I hear Cameron's familiar voice.

"Just come on," Maya's voice is distant, but within 30 seconds they both appear in the doorway.

"Oh, hey Emily," Cameron smiles.

I smile a fake smile back.

"Why'd you kiss Pey?" Maya asks suttly.

"What?" Cameron looks taken back.

I can't help but laugh, why do I pick the guys who kiss other girls?

And the other guy is gonna be here probably tomorrow.

Man, I have some problems.

"Don't act stupid. We saw the video," Maya says looking right at her brother.

"Oh! At the after party. Well..." Cameron looks at the ground.

"Could you at least tell me? I came here for you, and all of this is so messed up," I speak up.

"Please Emily, you didn't come her for me. You came here for you. And so what if I might have feelings for someone else?" Cameron looks me right in the eyes.

"Cam, what is wrong with you?!" Maya looks almost disgusted, "GET OUT!"

Maya pushes Cameron out of her room, and I lay back on my bed.

"She did something to him," Maya shakes her head.

"I think I'm gonna sleep," I sigh.

"Sorry Em," Maya looks apoligetic at me, before turning her room light off.

I grab my phone and plug in my pink earbuds.

Music is what I need right now.

I put the music on shuffle, and lay awake for a while.

I've never seen Cameron like this.

What is happening?

In the past two weeks I've experienced more than I've ever experienced in my life.

I've went from one boy, to two boys, to one boy, to no boys.

God is my life messed up.

And now Zach's coming.

No matter how mad I still am at him, the hole in my chest is getting bigge, and I'm missing him more and more.

I wonder if he's thinking of me.

Zach's P.O.V.

I can't believe I'm going to California to see Emily!

I've missed her so much. Even my mom has said I'm not acting the same.

I just hope she's not doing anything with Cameron.

That asshole, I saw the video Peyton List posted.

I wonder if Emily's seen it.

I hope so.

Ugh I'm such a jerk.

As long as Emily likes me I'll be okay.

Damn I hope she'll still love me.

If not, what is there in life?
