He saw her walking towards him in a pink crop top and a navy blue denim on her gorgeous body accompanied by her college bag and it gave him shivers down his spine even after one year of their relationship. Dev had all the qualities in the world that would attract a woman; he was tall, fair, handsome and stylish. But these weren't the ones for which Meera loved him. She loved hi, because he was a gentleman, an aspiring man with some goals in life who believed in only one swag: his own, which was always trending on him. That made him special, he was aspirant and unlike many of his fellow college mates, he was larger than life and big-thinker yet downcto earth kinda guy.
It had been two years since Dev and Meera were studying together for their masters in administration and one year since they fell in love and shared a relationship with each other. And it was Meera right now that walked upto Dev and hugged him tight landing a kiss on his cheek, making almost every guy around them feel a burn. They went to the canteen area and the only thing today that wasn't usual was Meera's behavior. She acted overly conscious about something Dev couldn't understand. Maybe she was trying to raise a topic, or maybe just trying to hide one.
"Meera, is everything alright?" Dev interrupted her pointless and unusual gossip.
"Of course, everything's fine. Nothing's gone wrong ever since we've been together."
"Meera. I know there's definitely something and you gotta tell me what it is, okay? Don't Don't you trust me?" Dev made out the shivering in Meera's voice.
"Dev, do you remember our first date?", she took a small pauses she gently held Dev's hand and rubbed her fingers over the back of his palm," we went to watch 'Munnabhai' in the night show...-"
"..and we were so late that there were no restaurants open that time!" Dev finished her line with his words, throwing himself back into those mesmerizing memories.
"And then you made that sandwich for me at your place," Meera smiled and continued, she sounded way too calm now,"You put in those olives and too much of mayonnaise, it tasted awful!" And she laughed a little, her emotions were running high.
Dev laughed and said," Yeah, that was the first time I cooked, and it was ugly "
"It was the best sandwich I ever had."
"You're kidding" Dev laughed.
"No,I'm not. I loved it. And you made a promise after we had that sandwich. Do you remember that?" Meera was now in complete eye contact with Dev.
"That I'll always be with you?"
"That you'll always love me."
