Running. It's the only thing I've been doing for the pas ten years. I've perfected that survival tool, through the meadows, the woods, the storms or the burning sun. I could run for hours in any conditions the weather threw at me yet today my speed and durability weren't enough. I felt their breath on my fur, they were breathing hard but they weren't losing speed. I knew I wouldn't last much longer, my lungs were burning and I felt my legs giving out. I was starting to lose speed, five minutes tops and I'm down. Then I heard it, the sound of water tumbling down the sharp cut stone edges. *Safe, just a jump away.*I leaped threw the trees onto a small clearing barely enough to gain the needed speed. Making a sharp turn I shook them off my tail and speed towards the cliff. As I leaped threw the air I realized I miscalculated the distance so I landed hard on the edge, rolling and hitting my head against rocky surface. My vision got blurry and I soon found myself falling into the black, hoping that I escaped my pursuers and that they couldn't jump that far.
The snap of twigs not faraway woke me up. My head was pounding and I couldn't feel my legs, I was completely lost in time and space. It took me a while to arrange my thoughts and collect my memories. I remembered the chase the fear and the jump, but what confused me was the fact that it was dark. Not a nightfall, actually it was early. The sun will soon rise meaning it was around 5 AM and that I was out in the open for over 12 hours. That was a big mistake. For a moment I forgot about the presence near me.A roll of the rock caught my attention and as I snapped my look up I almost jumped out of my skin. There were five to seven wolves looking back at me. I was surrounded with no way out but down the cliff. I pushed myself up only to be reminded of the dull pain in my head so I clenched my teeth in order to stop a whimper of pain. There was not going to be any out running this group so I looked over the edge to the angry swirling water. At least, it will be over quickly. I was starting to move with minimal sound but one of the wolves saw my intention and growled loudly so I froze. I looked him up and down. He was tall, muscular with blond fur and bright blue eyes. He was big,if it was a one on one, I could have taken him down. But, with the rest of them there, I would not stand a chance. I tried moving only to get another warning, but this time the blond came closer, so I shoot my own warning growl at him. He stopped, but kept his eyes strongly on my every move. The time seems to have stopped like we were waiting for something. Then I heard a growl so loud it shook the earth.
Before long the bushes in front of me moved and I was meet with what appeared to be the biggest wolf I have ever seen. It's fur was dark blue darker then the deepest depths of the see. It was as if the starless night sky wrapped around it's skin. It was a perfect night predator invisible to the unwanted eyes. You could look right at it for hours and mistake a murderer for the darkness. The only give away were the sharp deadly pearls hidden in it's powerful jaw. They shined brightly on the moonlight enjoying the attention it's light gave them. With it's pure size I knew it was a male. He was muscular, tall and the air around him was screaming with authority. He was astonishing and he was my worst nightmare. He was the type of wolf I never wanted to face in battle but I guess my luck has run out and from the way the others moved to make a path for him I realized I invaded his lands and broke his laws. I was in deep shit. I jumped up ignoring the pain that attacked my head and ran towards the edge. I will try my luck with the waterfall instead. I made it a few meters when the air was blown out of my lungs. The force that I was hit with at my side was so strong I saw black for a few seconds. I ended on my back. As I was about to turn the monster straddled me and I was meet with his piercing coal black eyes...
