'Tilly dinner is ready'
'Ok coming' I said while skipping to the dinner table.
I sat down next to my brothers.
Mum came to the table with a large plate of lasagne. She placed it in the middle of the table and Joel got in first grabbing a big slice and plopping it on his plate.mum went next putting some on teddys plate mine and then herself. Next I watched dad as he grabbed the hot plate to get his own.
'SHIT,that's hot'
'Hun, don't swear at the table' mum said while getting up to get some ice, dad got up after her and went to the tap. Me and my brothers sat silently at the table watching them argue again
'They'er arguing again' teddy whispered to both of us. (He is only 7, I'm 12 and Joel is 15 btw)
Mum came back to the table and started eating, we all just stared at each other while mum didn't take her eye off her food
We herd a door slam. Dad must have left the house again.
We all started Eating slowly. After a minute of silence Joel lifted his head up and broke the silence
' well, this is lovely mum, thanks' he said with a slight smile
Mum didn't say anything she just got up from her seat and took her plate to the kitchen.
'Is mummy ok' teddy said shyly as mum left the room
Me and Joel made eye contact. We both new mum and dad weren't a stable cupple but we didn't want to tell teddy yet. He was to young.Joel spoke up deciding to avoid the question.
'Umm...I think it's almost bed time, lets get ready for bed'.
When they left I got up to take there plates to the kitchen I walked into the kitchen and saw mum wiping away her tears. I never know how to react to her crying. so I put the plates on the sink and rapped my arms around her.she gave my a small kiss on the forehead before saying
' I need to go take a shower'
I let go of her and she walked up stars. I standed there in confusion before walking to my room to get ready for bed.
