Hello!!! So this is my first story that I planned to write. I know it is unedited and my grammar skills are not that great, but please be mindful. Hope you have a great read and enjoy!!

*****************************************

I was never one to be called pretty compared to my twin. Of course, if a guy compliments me I would prefer to get complimented by how smart I am.

I live in a two bedroom house on the reservation in Arizona with my 3 siblings and my grandmother. It's cramped in know! I never knew my biological father, but my step father did raise us until he passed away. Soon, my mother succumbed to drinking which led us to never seeing her at all. Once in a great while we would get a phone call from her stating she is sober and she would quit drinking. I used to believe her until I was ten years old, the day I decided to let my mom go.

Now, I'm just trying to live a life where I won't fall into my mother's footsteps. God forbid, if I ever turn out like her. In addition to my promise of never turning out like my mom I would always find myself dedicated to school. I was the type of girl who would get straight A's and wear glasses, but I was never truly the average nerdy girl.

Oh no, I had been born to be a little rebellious, but not to where I would get in trouble with the police. I am an average metal head, the one who would wear jeans paired with a Metallica or iron maiden shirt and converse. That was my essential wardrobe, a variety of band shirts and no skirts or colorful clothes. I would have to thank my step dad for showing me what true music is.

I remember blasting Metallica in the car while my dad took us to school. I was in elementary than, the best years of my life. From then on, I always loved metal music, of course I would listen to punk, death metal, classic rock and once in a great while rap. Well, I listen to a variety of music, but it has to be tasteful.

Although I love listening to metal and dressed the part, it was always the reason why I never did belong to any cliques, except the rebels. Don't get me wrong I had friends, but they were the average metal/ stoner/ rebellious kind of people. These type of people were never seen in any accelerated classes, because they would prefer to mosh and smoke weed instead of dedicating themselves to school. I would surround myself with these people, because we had the same taste in music and I would love to join them in their little "activities". This was the main reason why I never was accepted into the nerdy/ geeky cliques, because I didn't want to talk about math equations and dungeons and dragons all the time. I wanted to feel relaxed with the people I hang out with.

So, there you have you it. I'm just an average metal head who just loves to get stoned while solving math problems. A girl who is trying to not be like her mother and with that the responsibility of not falling in love.
