Authors Note
Just a little reminder: Artemi and Alex talk to each other in Russian most of the time:) I'm just translating what they say in English. Also, there might be some typos in this but oh well. Enjoy!

Artemi's POV

I woke up and felt Alex's head resting on my chest. Oh shit, I must have fallen asleep. I tried to get up as slow as I could so I wouldn't wake her. I put her head on the pillow and quickly went to grab a sticky note and a pen.

Morning Alex :)
I guess we accidentally parties too hard and fell asleep. I've got an early morning practice but I'd love to go to lunch before the game. Text you when I get out. -Artemi

I placed the note on her phone and kissed her cheek. I grabbed my stuff and I headed straight to the UC, hoping all my gear was still there from the day before.

As I drove, I couldn't stop smiling at the fact that Alex and I were... I guess a thing. And it was perfect too. I mean, she speaks Russian and English so she could help me communicate, she has known me for so many years now, and she's basically the only person that makes me feel this way. A way that I can't even begin to explain. I wanted to be more then friends, but I wasn't sure how to get to that point.

Once I arrived, all of the guys were already dressed. I caught Artem giving me a weird look.

"Where were you?" He whispered in Russian.

"I was over at Alex's house. I guess I just fell asleep there. I wasn't planning on sleeping over, it just happened." I tried my best to explain. He turned around and said something to the guys in English. After he was done, I heard shaw chirp something, but I didn't understand. I gave Anisimov a confusing expression.

"He asked if you "got some" last night" He laughed, looking away. I scrunched my face and shook my head.

"We wait." I tried to speak as clear as I could in English. They all seemed to understand, thank God.

I continued to get dressed as some of the guys went out on the ice. I couldn't get Alex out of my head. I felt different about her today. Not a bad different, a good different.

I tied my skates up and grabbed a stick, being the last one in the locker room. I quickly walked out and skated to the middle where the team was huddled. I could understand some things they discussed, just not everything. Usually Anisimov would translate it or inform me later on.

We skated around a few laps, then practiced some drills. Every time a I shot for the net, the puck went in. We did some shootout drills too, and I aced those as well. I was pretty proud, but it still wasn't enough to make me confident. But, I was indeed doing better than usual.

"What's up with you today?" I heard Kane as he skated over to me.

"Nothing. Maybe luck" I said in English. I could tell it was hard for him to understand me. All he did was smirk and skate away.

As we finished up, I saw Kane and Anisimov talking and smirking while looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

"What drugs did Alex give you last night?" Anisimov said in Russian.

"What? None! Are you crazy?" I was shocked at what they were thinking. They both started cracking up.

"You've been doing a whole lot better at practice ever since you guys kissed." I wondered how Anisimov knew we kissed. Then, I remembered telling him. I guess that's how the whole team found out.

"I don't know, I guess I'm just a lot more motivated" I said as Anisimov translated for Kane. I skated away and walked to the locker room. I hurried to get my gear off so I could check my phone. Once I did, I had a text from Alex.
