"Later honey, I got her book here. Can you can pick me up now at the mall already."

"Is she still there?" He did not know how to face Shaira now that he was about to get married.

"I don't know. I was the first in the line so I did not notice the number of people who came here. I want you here soon honey."

"Okay, I'm coming." Nigel had to be there because Melanie would soon be nagging about it for she's a bit clingy and a nagger.

After a few minutes...

"Honey what are we doing here?" Nigel asked. It was an expensive restaurant just near the mall where the book launching was held.

"Take me to this restaurant. I want to dine with you here." Melanie insisted.

"Honey, I'd love to but you know that we're preparing for the wedding. We have to save money." Nigel was almost losing his patience for having a very demanding fiancé.

"Okay. If you don't have money, I'll pay." Melanie was being patient.

"No, its not what I mean. Its just that its all sudden. We did not plan to come here. Why would you want to eat here now?"

"Whatever. I just need to be here now."

"Tell me hon, so that I could understand what is this all about."

"I'll tell you when we're there." This reply makes Nigel nervous. It was the second time she said it for the day and he had a bad feeling about it. Nevertheless, he still agreed with her though he was getting a bit irritated.

Nigel and Melanie looked for a place and ordered the cheapest meal. It did not matter to Melanie as long as she was there at the restaurant where she heard Emy Lee (Shaira's pen name) was dining. A special corner of the restaurant seemed to be reserved already and she had a hunch that it would be Emy Lee's place. She proved right when she saw her walking towards that area with Ysabelle who was wearing black jumper dress and black boots and a tiger printed shoulder bag that caught Melanie's attention. There were also two other women who seemed to be secretaries since they looked more formal with their office attires while the security followed them, together with the manager of the restaurant.

She dodged Nigel and pointed to where Shaira was heading to. "Look! She's there. She's the author of this book I'm having now and I would like to have a photo with her alone."

Nigel was speechless as Melanie kept on talking about Shaira. He knew her so well. She was the woman he hurt. The woman whom he replaced with somebody else. The woman whom she did not fight for. For years, he was thinking of winning her again but he did not have the guts. He felt like he did not deserve such a good woman as Shaira. He tried to make up with her but he was too doubtful and lazy to make some efforts for her, afraid that he would be rejected.

"Hi Emy Lee!" Melanie called boldly as she went closer to the author. She grabbed Nigel's hand and immediately came to ask for a photo.

"W-wait!" but Nigel was already going towards where Melanie was taking her. He was not prepared for this. He was getting pale, it was like a cold water was thrown upon him.

Shaira's eyes widened at the sight but she immediately taught herself to calm down and smiled at her fan. The security was about to stop Melanie but she gestured for them to imply that it was fine.

"Emy Lee, I'm so glad to meet you. You know, I'm the first person who would be privileged if you sign this book (showing the book she just bought). Would you mind if we could have a photo together?"

Nigel wondered about the content of the book his fiancé was holding now.

Shaira smiled and said, "Sure." She glanced onto Nigel like this scenario was not hitting her hard. She was that same cold woman she used to be. She heard and noticed everything but she did not have the appetite to bring back the past although the present was now a different story.
