Interrogation was rough. You only cooperated where you could and that was only personal information.
When it came to questions about the army, tactics, information about where you learned magic and so on... You had to refuse to speak. If you gave them false information or lied you figured that the punishment would be worse. Refusing was the best option and they didn't let you off easy for not talking. In the end you were covered in fresh cuts and bruises but you were alive.
You were thrown back into your cell and passed out from the pain and exhaustion.
~
You awoke to the feeling of someone or something touching you. You bolt up smacking your head against whatever it was. You flinched and would have been gripping your head from the pain if your hands weren't tied. You look over to see Gaster backed a little away from you clutching his head.
"Sorry... You startled me I didn't mean to..." he rubbed his head and before he could reply another monster storms in. It looked like a blue dragon.
"I heard a loud noise Gaster! Did the human harm you?" He glared at you and you tried to back away you were still badly injured so you couldn't get far without pain shooting through your body. He stepped toward you, looking like he was about to kill you. "Did you hurt Doct-" He was cut short with Gaster getting between you in him, moving his hands quickly.
The dragon grunted and backed away. "Fine... But if there is any more trouble..." He makes a motion with his thumb across his neck, glaring right at you before he leaves. You and Gaster both sigh in relief.
As the tension dies your pain is recognized and you double over with a groan. Gaster rushes over to you, scooping back up the med-kit and he works on treating your wounds.
Trying to distract yourself from the pain you look up at him. You look at the serious look on his face, he almost seems... concerned.
He wouldn't be concerned about me... he's just doing his job
You still couldn't help but feel like he wasn't bad for a monster, he was the only one treating you with any type of Kindness.
He gave you a light smile as he finished up bandaging you and stepped away.
He scribbled something down.
"Will you be ok?"
"I think so..."
He nods and continues.
"I will be right back" He grabs his med kit and walks out of the tent. You sigh and lean till you fall on your side, hands still bound. Now that the Doctor was gone you let yourself groan both from the pain of all your wounds and from hunger and thirst.
There was nothing else to do so you just laid there waiting.
After a while you heard the tent open. You turned your head to glance over to see Dr. Gaster carrying a tray with food on it and entered your cell. You sat up quickly but winced as the quick movement reawakened your pain.
He gave a chuckle as he sat down across from you and set the tray in front of you. You blushed as he attempted to feed you. Your hands were tied, and you were starving so you let him feed you and help you drink. Your face became more and more red as he fed you bite after bite. You couldn't even taste the food, you were too embarrassed and averted your gaze, focusing only on eating.
That is, until he brought his hand lightly against your face and brushed away a few stray crumbs. His bony hands felt surprisingly soft and gentle. You looked up at him, your face practically a cherry after that gentle touch beneath your lip. You could see his face grew a slightly purple tint.
You looked away in embarrassment.
Why was this so odd to you? He's a doctor it's his job to take care of patients he had probably done this a few times for different monsters. You try to clear the burning blush from your face. You look back at him and he's holding up a note asking;
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah... i'm fine... thank you Doctor." You try to force a smile showing that you are ok.
"It's no trouble" He puts his notebook in his pocket before he starts cleaning up and heading out the door.
"See you later Gaster?" He looks back at you and nods with a smile. You couldn't help but wonder about that doctor as you let yourself fall over again and try to sleep.
