"Jade?" I hissed incredulously.

A grin spread across her face as she gazed up at me, a pile of rocks clutched in-between her hands. She tossed them onto the ground, her hands flying up to cup either side of her mouth. "Open the front door."

I shook my head at her antics as I gently closed the window and padded my way to the door. I swung it open and descended the stairs, before approaching the front door and yanking it open.

There stood a jovial Jade, her brown eyes lighting up at the mere sight of me. I reached out and dragged her in, before yanking her up the stairs. Once we reached my bedroom, I folded my arms across my chest and lifted a brow. "What the hell are you doing? It's like,"—I took a quick look at the clock hung above my desk—"not even five yet."

Her head bobbed up and down in agreement. "I know," she began, flopping down on my bed. "I have to tell you something."

I do too, Jade.

I felt like sighing. She wasn't aware that I didn't stop the bet until later on. I'd rather keep it that way.

"Anyway, my flight leaves at eight," Jade reeled off.

I shook my head. "Wait, what?"

Jade uttered a weary sigh. "You weren't listening, were you?"

I sheepishly shook my head and asked her to repeat herself.

"So you're going to Hawaii?" I questioned after listening to her explanation.

Jade nodded, pressing her lips together. "Yup. I'm happy and all, but at the same time, I'm not. You know how irritating my grandparents are," she muttered.

I flashed her a lascivious wink. "Don't forget to snag a hot Hawaiian dude on your way back, eh?"

Jade simpered, hands flying up to cup either side of her face. "That's exactly why I'm going," she reported, then laughed a little.

After saying our goodbyes, which consisted of hugging the life out of each other, I stood beside the front door and observed as she all but hastened toward her car. She chucked me a vigorous wave, before climbing into her car and driving off.

I watched her receding car for a few moments, before closing the door and making my way back to my room. Once I was settled in my bed, I grabbed my phone and sent a message to Blaze.
