Jason's pov

My amazing wife smiles up at me holding our baby girl. "She's beautiful, Jason." "She sure is. Uh your mom and the girls are in the waiting room." "Let them in." I walk out there to get them. Rachel's hands are clamped around the seat she's sitting in. "Well guys, we have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world this night." I say, porudly. We get back to her room and tears come to Rachel's eyes, making me smile. Miranda passes Carter to me and I shakily hold her in my arms. I'm a father to the most perfect baby ever. "I love this." I shakily say. She hugs me. "Man 12 hours of hard labor and she's finally here." She says taking a deep breath. I pull her into a kiss. "Thank you baby. You've made all my dreams come true."

*the next week*

Miranda is keeping an eye on Carter while I finish the nursery. I walk upstairs after finishing it and Carter is fast asleep beside her. My wife has a hand in my daughter's hair. "I can't believe she's finally here." She whispers, looking up at me smiling. "I finished the nursery." "Oh no! I don't want her to leave this bed." I laugh and sit beside them. "The first few nights she can stay in here but she's gotta sleep in the nursery." She gives me the pitiful puppy dog eyes. "Baby don't do that!" I gasp, laughing. But she does it even more pitifully. I sigh and roll my eyes. "Ok the first couple weeks but that's my final offer." She sits up and hugs me. "Deal." I hold her gladly in my arms. "I love having a little girl." "Me too."

*the next day*

I wake up and Miranda's breastfeeding Carter. I smile staring at them. Her tiny hands gripping Miranda's finger. "How long ya been up?" "Since 3." "AM?" She nods. "Here you gotta get some rest. I'll get her a bottle and you go to sleep." She hands her over. "You're too good to me, Jay." She says, kissing our baby's forehead and my cheek. I stand up and go downstairs, warming a bottle under the warm tap. Then I smell the air and realize baby girl made a stinky. I finish warming the bottle up then I go downstairs to the nursery to her changing table. She doesn't like getting changed cause she's very fussy. "Oh jeez girl this really stinks!" I gasp making a goofy face. She laughs and waves her hands at me. I laugh too. She's precious. After she's changed I sit in the rocking chair, feeding her the bottle. After I burp her, she falls asleep on my chest and I don't wanna get up out of fear of her waking up but I'm able to get her in her crib. She's sucking her hand. Cute little thing. Then I go lay back down with a baby monitor.
