The wind rustled softly through the trees
beneath the looming apartment building, it's bright red bricks darkening as rain spat on it. The sidewalk was filled with people hurrying to get out of the rain, a woman holding an umbrella ,assuring her child that he won't get wet as he cried, college students bustling to get to class,and a number of people using their personal belongings as a shield against the torrent of rain. A specific college student bumped several people to get to her apartment building,and as she entered the main lobby she sat down on the ground, and rested, knowing that she'd have to walk several flights of stairs to get home. She stared outside, at the countless people and her breathing calmed as she listened to the prattle of rain. Finally, realizing the futility of waiting any longer she rose and started her slow climb up the stairs, all the while thinking back to what happened on the way here from one of her classes. When she finally reached her apartment door, she stopped before reaching for the door knob, hearing sounds from the inside she assumed her roommate, Maria, was home. She opened the door and was greeted by Maria as she was watching tv, putting down her bag, she started to remove her jacket.
"So, anything new to tell little ol' me?"
Asked Maria
At this she stopped, contemplating if she should tell her roommate, best friend and sole confidant about the strange events that transpired today.
"You will not believe what I'm about to tell you"
