16. Wake up Riles

I was going to pick up Riley but she wasn't there as usual. I guess she went with Mr.Matthews since the talk we had last night. I figured she needed some time alone and time to think about it. I entered the school hoping to find Riley.

"Aye Ranger Rick , Farkle, & Zay have you seen Riles?" I said

"No we were about to ask you the same thing!" Lucas said

We had all just stared at eachother.

"So are we just going to stare at eachother until the bell rings?" Said Zay and i just glared at him.

We had history first and Riley still hasn't showed up. Since Matthews was late i guess Riley was also going to be late. Then a sub came in. Oh no!

"Hi my name is Mrs.G i will be subbing in for Mr.Matthews!" She said and I had raised my hand

"Yes?" She said

"Do you know what happened to Mr.Matthews?" I said

"Unfortunately no I do not. Okay class im going to take role !"

I looked at Lucas and Farkle. We just all seemed confused and shocked! Riles never missed a day of school. Something is wrong.

R I L E Y

I woke up seeing my parents asleep and auggie on the couch playing his iPad . I guess they didnt go to work today!

"Mom? Dad?" I said

My mom and dad had quickly woken up.

"Oh good morning. how you feeling pumpkin?" My dad asked

"Im fine! Why did you guys stay?" I asked

"We weren't going to leave you here alone" my mom said as she hold my hand.

"When when can we go home?" I asked

"As soon as you feel better!" They said

"Can you let Maya know I'm here ?" I said

"I already spoke with her mother!" My mom said and just perfect timing because Maya had burst into the room.

"Peaches!! How you feeling ?" She said

"Im fine! " i said as I faked a smile

"We were all worried about you!" She said

"You didn't tell anyone I was here right?" I said

"Well-- " she was interrupted by Farkle , Lucas, Zay, & Ms.Friar coming in!

"Riley Are you okay? we were so worried about you! " Farkle said

"Don't worry your second wife is good !" I said since he likes to think that Maya & I are his wife's

"Im glad your okay sugar lips even though we bearly met I was also worried about you." Zay said

"Thank you Zay that means a lot to me!" I said

"You should've seen how worried Lucas was! As soon as he found out you were hear, he made his mom drive him here. I havent seen him that worried in a while! I can tell you mean a lot to him!" Zay said.

Things just got silent and awkward.

I looked at Lucas who was already staring at me!

"Maya ? Farkle? You wanna get some to eat?" Zay said as he was signaling them to leave Lucas and I alone.

"Oh yeah! You know what? I think we should all go get something to eat !" My mom and Ms.Friar said. They all headed out except my dad

"Cory?!!" My mom said

"Im not hungry!" My dad said and I giggled.

My mom had given him the death stare!

"You know what I'm not really hungry but i am kind of thirsty !" He said

I love my mom.

"I was really worried about you Riley!" He said as he grabbed my hand.

"Oh." I said as i looked down trying not to make eye contact.

"Oh? That's all you have to say? I was worried sick about you. I didnt know were you were. you didn't answer my text or calls! I couldn't focus at school because of how worried i was. I come straight here after school had ended And I just get an oh." He said as his voice got louder and he let go of my hand.

"Yes you just get an oh. And yea its not like i have stayed up late nights worrying and thinking about what we are! Or if you really like me! Its not like i felt crushed when Maya had asked you if you liked me and you just walked away! But its okay you know why? Because I actually DO like you Lucas!" I said as fixed a strand of hair and placed it behind my ear.

He then got closer to me! I felt like he was going to scream out something else but no instead he cupped my face and kissed me. My lips against his. It wasn't a like the makeout session we had in the movies but it was still perfect! I pulled away our foreheads touching as well as our noses.

"The reason I walked away from Maya was because i felt like it wouldn't be right if I told her before you." He said

"What do you mean!" I said

"I wanted you to be the first person to hear this. I Lucas Friar really like you, Riley Matthews! Im falling for you Riley !" He said

"I really like you too Lucas!" I said as I gently kissed him!

"Awwe. You can do better than that can't you Princess ?" He said and I giggled and kissed him again. Now this kiss was like the one we had in the movies.

"Your girl really makes Lucas really happy!" Lilah said

"And your boy really makes my pumpkin happy as well!" I said

"Its almost as if fate set them up together!" She said

" Yes. Like they met at the fair and met again through me giving you a job. What a cute coincidence ." I said

We were going back into Riles room but we heard them arguing. So we decided to wait until it was over.

"Do you think this can end badly?" Lilah said

"Maybe but sometimes people who really Love eachother argue but only because they care for eachother!" Cory said

I was suprised that Cory said that because he didnt seem to like Riley and Lucas going out! But he knows how much Lucas means to Riley.

We heard silence so Lilah and I had opened the door slowly to see what's going on and we saw them kissing!

I dont think they notice we saw them but we closed the door and waited outside!

"Do you think they'll really last? I mean they are in 8th grade ?" Lilah said

"Will I meet Cory when I was about 5 and i had a crush on him since the 6th grade. And we went out in 8th grade and look at us now. ( i don't actually remember what grade they went out) i mean of course we had out argues and break ups but we always found a way back to eachother!" I said as I hold Corys hand.

"Do you think they'll be like us. Cory and Topanga?" Cory said

"No." I said and Cory seemed confused

"Were us. We are the only Cory and Topanga. They are them. They are only Riley and Lucas!" I said

"They have there own story to tell!" Cory said as he caught on to what I was saying!
