"Hey Leah, see if Ryan wants to come over. I feel like I haven't seen him in forever." I said as I sat down on the couch. "Alright." Leah sang from the kitchen. I heard her talking on the phone with someone and 10 minutes later he walked in the front door. "Ry, I missed ya!" I smiled as I hugged him. "I missed you too, Q." he smiled back at me. He hugged Leah and then we sat down again. "Leah, I haven't heard anything about you going to any parties lately." he said. "Actually I haven't been to one in weeks. The last time I went to one was when Quinn came with me." she shrugged. I thought back to that night and how I met Cameron and couldn't help but smile. A lot has changed since then and it's only been around a month. I'm glad Leah doesn't go to those parties anymore though.

"When do you guys work next?" he asked us. "Tomorrow." I groaned. "Tuesday." Leah said. "I work both." Ryan said as he rolled his eyes. Poor him. "One of these days I'm gonna quit." I laughed. I've been working there since my freshman year, which was surprising because I hated the place more than anything. "So what do you guys wanna do?" Leah asked us. "We could go on a road trip like old times." I suggested. "Okay! Whose car?" Ryan smiled. "We can take mine." I offered. They both said okay and we grabbed our stuff and got into my car. We always did this thing where we would take a quarter and if it landed on heads we turned left, while if it landed on tails we would turn right. We always ended up lost somewhere but we had a gps so it was okay.

I started my car and pulled to the end of my driveway while I waited for Ryan to flip the coin. "Tails." he said. I turned right and waited for them to flip the coin again. After a little while we started to get hungry so we went a wendys nearby and ordered food. We all sat down at a booth and ate our food while talking, just like old times. "So I keep hearing about you and Cameron Dallas being a thing?" Ryan laughed. I shook my head no and thought of what I should say. "We're just, uh, acquaintances." I said, happy with my answer. "Oh really?" he chuckled. "No! They both like each other but Quinn won't let fate happen." Leah said rolling her eyes. "Not true!" I said arguing with her. "Yes, it is true. When its meant to be, then it's meant to be." She smiled. "Cameron definitely isn't the one I'm supposed to be with. He's a shitty person who fucks lots of girls and uses people. I'm nothing like that." I shrugged.

"So you're telling me after hanging out with him how many times now, that you still hate him?" she laughed. I nodded and ate a handful of french fries. "You're lying. I can see how you look at the idiot." she laughed before taking a drink of her soda. "Whatever you say Leah." I said as I rolled my eyes. Ryan looked shocked as he let everything that was just said sink in. "Wow. That's...something." he laughed as he was at a loss for words. We continued to eat our food before getting back into my car and flipping the coin again. After another hour we were completely lost. We turned on my gps and typed in my address before following the path we were supposed to. An hour later we arrived back at my house and went inside. "I had a lot of fun today. I miss hanging out all the time." Ryan smiled. "Aw Ry, me too." I said hugging him. Ryan's always been one of my best friends and recently it seemed like we had just drifted apart.

After Ryan had left, it was just Leah and I. "Have you ever thought of Ryan as more than a friend?" I asked Leah. I always had this feeling that the two of them would end up together but she seemed to be interested in Logan. "Actually yeah. I used to have the biggest crush on him. I realized he wasn't into me like that though, and moved on." she shrugged. "How do you know he doesn't feel the same way?" I asked. "I always just felt like he was into other girls." she shrugged as she walked into the kitchen to get a drink. I really wanted to ask Ryan about him and Leah. I figured at work was a good time since Leah wouldn't be there. So I made a mental note to ask him about it before changing and climbing into bed.

"Hey Quinn." Cameron smiled at me as he sat beside me. "Hi." I smiled back. Cameron really was growing on me. I didn't hate him but I knew I had to keep the act up. "Would you wanna hangout tonight?" he asked. "I have to work." I said as I looked at my worksheet. "Oh, maybe I'll come in." he smiled at me. "Ew, don't. I don't want to look at you." I said acting like I was disgusted. "Whatever Quinn." he chuckled. I was actually really hoping he would come in again like he had before.

School was flying by and before I knew it, it was lunch. Ryan sat right beside me and smiled as he saw Leah sit down. "Hi guys." he smiled. "Hi." Leah and I said at the same time. We talked about the festival that was coming to town next week. I never usually went though. Leah always went with a guy and talked about how much fun she had but I was always single and didn't feel like third wheeling. "Are you gonna come this time Quinn?" Leah asked me. "I don't know. I usually don't." I shrugged. "Its so much fun. You really should come." she smiled before she picked at her salad.

I saw Cameron look up at me and smiled at him. He shot me a wink before looking back at his friends. I couldn't help but blush at the simple, innocent gesture. Why does he make my heart beat so quick and make me feel so giddy? "Quinn?" Leah asked as her and Ryan stared at me. "Hmm, what?" I asked confused. "Nevermind. You're going with us this year." Leah smiled. "Whatever." I said before eating my food.

After school I went home and changed before driving to work. It was easily the worst thing ever. I pulled into the parking lot of Cindy's and groaned before getting out and going inside. We were pretty slow, like usual on Monday's so I had time to ask Ryan about Leah. "So Ryan I've been wondering..." I started saying. He looked at me confused but didn't say anything so that I would finish my sentence. "Do you like Leah?" I asked him. He gave me a sort of nervous look before thinking about his answer. "I more than like her." he chuckled.

"Why don't you tell her!" I basically yelled. "She's too good for me. Besides I hear that she's with Logan Davis." he shrugged. "Ry, you're definitely good enough for her. You guys would be great together." I said. "Thanks Quinn, but she seems pretty happy with him." Ryan said as he wiped of a table. "You should atleast tell her. Ya know, so it's out there and she would atleast know. Maybe she feels the same way." I said as I moved things around so he could continue to wipe the table off. "Maybe I will." he smiled. "Good. You definitely should!" I smiled at him.

I heard the door open and looked over to see Cameron smiling at me. "Ugh be right back." I groaned to Ryan as I walked over to Cameron. "Hi Quinn." he smiled. "I was hoping you wouldn't come." I said acting as if I was annoyed. "Sorry babe, I do what I want." he smirked at me. My heart started beating so quick when he called me that. "Right this way." I said trying to hide my blush as I led him to a table. He walked over to sit down and whispered, "Those pants make your butt look real good," before sitting down. My face turned red and I walked away.

Why does he have to be like this. I took his order and after listening to him beg me to sit with him I finally did. "What time do you leave?" he asked me. "Nine." I said. He nodded and ate his food. "Will you go with me tomorrow?" he asked me. "Where?" I asked surprised. "The mall." he smiled and threw a french fry at me. I ate it and laughed. "Maybe." I shrugged. He let me eat some of his fries and before I knew it, it was already time to close. He waited for me to clean up and then walked me to my car. "I always have such a good time with you." he smiled at me. "Me too." I said.

He placed his hand on my cheek and brought his lips to my ear which sent chills up my spine. "Just let me know when I can finally kiss you, and I'll do it." he breathed. I wanted to turn and kiss him more than anything but I refrained. I needed to hate him, but I just couldn't. He kissed my cheek and smiled at me before pushing my hair behind me ear. "Goodnight." he smiled. "Goodnight." I said as I was barely able to form words. I got into my car and took a deep breath. What was I going to do about this boy.
