Aftermath

Chapter 3

As I was trying to run they caught up to me. "Hey quit running its is" I looked over to Ben who was driving and stopped "why did you all follow me" they all shrugged "to keep you safe" I shook my head " where are you even going" he shrugged " the same place you are" wait a blasted minute "why the hell were you in my bag looking threw my stuff" I looked straight at Ben who was getting in the passenger seat but first stopped infront of me "I like your outfit" I rolled my eyes and got in the drivers seat and waited on him. Once he got in I looked at the map and started driving. We arrived at oak fort camp wich was kinda like a summer bootcamp place I don't know but it looks good enough to fix up. I got out and opened the gate with the key. " where did you get that key from" I pushed the gate open and looked at him "my dad was a Sargent here he gave me this key to the place when I got put up for adoption" he nodded and I got back in and drove in a parked. I took a deep breath and open the door to this building. I walked down the empty dark halls to see that it hadn't changed. "Hey umm can I ask you a question" I looked back at nick who had followed me in. "Sure" I gulped "I fount in your journal umm you got kicked out of your adoptive parents house because of something big and then a 2 months written on the bottom what was that" I sighed and looked him in the eyes "before tis all happened me and my boyfriend had went to a party it was a big big party it was out in the middle of nowhere. If you didn't want anything to happen to you you don't go and I'm uhh 4 months pregnant I wear baggy tops to cover it up" he looked shocked "you can go with the others while I uh find the mission control room" I walked away I went to find the room. As soon as I got to it I started the solar powered generator and cut all the lights on and left the room and went back outside. "Yeah she pregnant I don't think we should stay here I mean it's not safe when she has that baby" I stood behind him while they just looked at me "it is safe as soon as I touch the button on the wall in the main office and it will turn the power into the electric fence if you don't think it's safe you can go" I'm not mad I'm sad I don't really know why i think it's hormones. I walked inside and went to the bunks that were located right beside the cafeteria in a room it's a pretty good sized room too. It has a bathroom with 4 stalls to toilets and behind the toilets are showers. I took my clothes off and turned on the shower which had just river water coming out but it still worked. Once I got done rinsing off I put my clothes back on and went back into the bunks to see everyone sitting on them. "I know it may seem like the same place y'all were at but it isn't yes we will have to go out back and get ready to fight if necessary but I won't make you do it every second of the day just 4 hours a day except for tecup and Sam they will just help me around here and get it fixed up you wake up whenever and sleep whenever" I sighed and walked out of the bunks and went towards the weapons room. Surprisingly some weapons were still here we can scavenge and try getting some. I locked that room and went towards the cafeteria. As I stepped in and walked towards the kitchen all you could here were my boots hitting the ground. I looked the fridges and threw away all of the bad food in trash bags. "You need help" I looked over to see Cassie "yeah sure" she grabbed some of the gulls trash bags and o did I, we went out back and threw them into the trash cans. "Thank you" she nodded and we went back to the bunks. I sat on a chest that faced everyone. "Okay so we need to work this out okay I say me and Cassie go and get clothes Ben and ringer clean up outside and Sam and teacup sweep the cafeteria" everyone nodded "okay, goodnight" I got up and walked out of the bunks to my dads office. I unlocked the door and walked in and pressed the button for the fence then I went threw the door behind his desk to his room with a full sized bed a dresser and a closet with tons of blankets and foam mattress tops. I grabbed a ton of blacker and foam mattress tops. I took everything to the bunks and they all laughed and smiled at me "God sleeping a going to be great from now on" I laughed at them and they took the sheets off their beds and put the foam matress tops on them then put the blankets and sheets on there. "Thank you" I smiled "your welcome" they all laid down and I went back to dads well my room and took off my clothes and put one of my dads oversized shirts on. I laid down and covered up with the big quilted blankets and soon fell asleep
